Narrator pov. Continuing~

On the tenth day, Edogawa is finally visited by Mouri and Suzuki who were busy preparing for the festival.

The detective boys except Haibara also came, and the real kids loaned him a game to play on his wheelchair outside of his room while Mouri and Suzuki talked to the doctor.

Irene had already given him a card with the code that said {The person agreed to be Kudo-kun for a few days.}  as she had no other way to tell him without the kids hearing in this situation.

Also, Irene did notice Haibara passing by sometimes to visit with Agasa, but she didn't get the chance to tell her the plan since they always miss each other.

Oh well, Edogawa himself could tell her since he knew.

The doctor told Mouri about how Edogawa caught a cold since his immune system weakened after the surgery but nothing serious which made her relieved.

Edogawa himself seemed to be enjoying the game as the kids happily told him how it was popular at school right now.

Irene saw Suzuki coming and taking the Gameboy before saying, "Hai, playtime is over now." from behind them and the kids let out an "Eh?" as Suzuki tucked the console in her pocket and added, "The patient will go straight to his room. And the kids should get home because it's getting late!"

Mouri came over to be behind the wheelchair and the moment Irene and she made eye contact, Mouri stared at her with a conflicted look for a second before shaking her head and looking away.

Well, looks like Mouri feels only a bit suspicious of her but not enough to start treating her differently. That's alright.

Anyway, Mouri started wheeling the chair back to Edogawa's room as the kids let out an "Eh?" in disappointment to which she said, "Gomen ne, everyone." Genta said, "Tch." before he smiled and added, "Ja na, Conan!" the 3 kids and Irene waved at Edogawa as Ayumi added, "Matta ne!"

Edogawa looked back at them with a smile and said, "Yeah." waving back at them as Mitsuhiko added, "We'll see you back at school!" before the four left the building.

Irene said, "Well, I should get going then." and Ayumi hugged her before saying, "Ja ne, Irene-chan." 

Irene hugged back and replied, "Ja ne." before running off while waving at the kids who waved back until she was out of view as she activated the roller shoes to get to the station.

Just one more day before the festival and therefore the plan.

One more day.

Pov Switch~

Edogawa got the game back to play while he was being wheeled back to his room as the girls talked about the festival.

And then Suzuki brought up Kudo, asking Mouri if she called him about the play so he would come to see it, Mouri denied that he would come and how she was fine with it as long as Edogawa gets to come.

That part made Edogawa look up at her in surprise while blushing uncomfortably.

Mouri asked, "You'll come, right?" Edogawa gave her an awkward smile and nodded.

Suzuki misread the situation and commented on it, asking Mouri if she was trying to replace Kudo with Edogawa.

Mouri blushed, which basically confirmed it, and denied it calling her an idiot.

Edogawa noticed Suzuki's wrist and decided to take the chance to change the subject, asking Suzuki about it since it was bandaged.

Suzuki answered while holding her wrist, explaining that she sprained it during rehearsal and therefore couldn't be the knight anymore. Mouri asked, "But a good person came to take the role, right?"

Edogawa was confused and asked what she meant, to which she explained that Araide did take the role in the end.

Suzuki inputted that she was disappointed at the loss of her role but then complimented Araide, saying how the love scene between him and Mouri was the real attraction that got Mouri to scold her.

Edogawa was now getting protectively annoyed as the girls just continued the conversation, thinking to himself as they kept getting closer to his room.

AN: Done! Hope you guys liked it!

Well, so Ran does suspect Irene by a little, but thankfully not enough to start feeling jealous of her or anything.

After all, Irene is genuinely emotionless and an orphan so Ran has no way to know that Irene is also older than she looks.

And wow, look at that, Conan is uncomfortable with Ran. :0
