Confrontation

Narrator pov. Continuing~

Irene just finished the call with Mouri, who she asked for Jodie's address with the excuse that she met her on the bus and thought she was interesting so she wanted to see her, then called Kuroba as she told him that she might get home a bit late and she'd explain later before hanging up.

She didn't realize how her voice sounded more... emotional than usual, though Kuroba did.

She used the detective badge to tell the others how she was going home now before she turned on her roller shoes and rushed to the apartment.

She got there fairly quickly and rang the doorbell.

When Jodie opened the door, she at first didn't notice anyone before she looked down and saw Irene.

Irene took a deep breath and asked, "Konnichiwa, Jodie-sensei, can I come in please?"

Jodie nodded slowly as she let her walk inside and it was only when she closed the door that Irene finally asked her question, "How are you connected to Michiyuki Miyuki?"

Jodie froze with her eyes wide before she tried to deny it, still in her act, by saying, "Who? I have no idea who that is-"

Irene cut her off, "Don't lie. I saw her with you on the bus and again with Akai-san in his car earlier today."

Jodie immediately paused as she looked down at her and asked, "How... Do you know about Shu? You got sent to the hospital during the questioning in the bus hijacking incident. And his connection to me?"

Irene looked down.

'Should I just tell her? I have no other way to explain... At least not how I know their connection since Kudo-kun doesn't know yet...' 

She sighed, well, she did get this far and wasn't going to leave without answers, so might as well give Jodie some for her cooperation.

"This might sound unbelievable," she started, "But the truth is..."

She explained everything all over again, how she's from another world where this world was fictional, how Miyuki was her childhood friend in that world before she died, and, in turn, how she got turned into a child when she got here.

She didn't like the idea of actually telling Jodie about APTX yet, so she let her think whatever she wanted about how she shrunk.

Jodie surprisingly processed this faster than anyone else did, and Irene found out why with Jodie's response, "Ah, so you're like Miyu-chan."

Irene blinked and let out an "Eh?" before she asked, "She also told you?"

Jodie nodded and answered, "Yeah, she got teleported to America where we the FBI found her, though from what you said, she seemed to have grown a bit older instead of younger when she got there. She also ended up joining our ranks."

 Irene didn't expect that. So that's why Miyuki seemed to be around the FBI...

Jodie then took out her phone and said, "Let me just call her so you guys can meet." with a wink before she dialed the number.

Irene watched her with her heart racing.

This confrontation turned out better than she thought.

AN: Done! I hope you guys liked it! 

Well, so Miyuki is not just friends with the FBI. She is an FBI agent! How cool is that?

And the FBI trio of, Jodie, James, and Shu, apparently got told about the other world and the secret knowledge. That's interesting.

And looks like Miyuki is going to actually appear in the next chapter! Anyone else excited for that reunion?
