Narrator pov. (7:30 am)~ At the Kuroba Household~

The shrunken brunette was already in the bathroom getting ready. She's used to waking up this early during school days, especially with her insomnia.

She washed her face and showered before going to the closet to pick one of the outfits Nakamori helped her to buy yesterday.

After she changed and brushed and then braided her long hair, she got out of the spare bedroom that she was occupying and then went down to the kitchen.

She took an apple and then started to eat it.

A moment later, she threw the apple core in the trash bin and unlocked the door with the spare key Kuroba copied for her, put on her shoes and picked up her backpack, then locked it behind her when she was out the door before walking out the gate.

After she was completely out of the house, she started to the train station to get to Beika.

While she was walking she thought 'Looks like I'm doing this...' with no real expression behind her thoughts.

'Then again...' She thought 'This school will be different, and I'll get to meet the future members of the Shounen Tantei Dan... And Kobayashi-sensei later. So it should be fine...' 

She knows.

She knows that this school is different, that the kids in it are mostly nice, especially her new classmates.

But she wouldn't be surprised if she was getting an exception, with how she looks emotionless and doesn't speak their language much.

She had a bad experience in school for 16 whole years before this anyway.

She just shook her head as she got to the train station, finding out that the next train to Beika would leave in 2 minutes so she bought a ticket and then got on the train. The train left a minute later since she wasted time to find a good spot and sat down.

~(8:10 AM)~ (She got on at 7:50)~

When the train arrived at the Beika station, Irene got off and walked to the map that was displayed on the wall to learn and memorize the directions to the school. 

'The walk is 20 minutes... I'll get there 10 minutes early... Might as well stop by a shop on the way I guess.' she thought before she started walking.
