Human!Cas

You wake up to the smell of cookies. Peppermint chocolate-chips cookies to be precise. Groggily you lift your head from your pillow, immediately noticing the absence of your husband Castiel. Your vision blurs and your head starts to spin causing bile to rise in your throat. Not again, you think to yourself. And before you've even looked around your room for the source of the smell you're in the bathroom on your knees in front of the toilet. Morning sickness is the worst.
After brushing your teeth thoroughly you go out of your room looking left, right, up, and down for the delicious smell. You emerge into to kitchen to see him, in his Christmas apron (a horrendous green apron with yellow spots and little reindeer) cooking breakfast. You smile leaning against the wall to just watch him. You'd always loved watching him cook. How fluid every motion is, his back contracting beautifully, how peaceful he looked while doing it. Without making a sound you tip-toe over to him wrapping your arms around his waist. He jumps at first but relaxes when you start rubbing small circles in his sides. His unique smell envelops you. The smell of a forest, and clean air, and just Cas. With the added bonus of eggs, bacon, pancakes, coffee, and cookies. Speaking of which, where are those?
"You scared me," he says and you can hear his smile. You nuzzle your head into his back mumbling 'sorry'. "Did you sleep well?" You nod still hugging him not wanting to leave his warmth. "Are you hungry?" You nod vigorously making him laugh deep in his throat. "Okay. I hate to break it to you but getting you breakfast will mean you have to detach yourself from me." You grip tightens. He turns in your arms hugging you back, placing a kiss on top of your head. "Only for a little bit, I promise. How about you go set up a movie in the living room while I get you some coffee and food. Sound good?" You finally raise your head from his chest deciding to stare into his strikingly blue eyes for a bit before reaching up on your toes to kiss him. His arms tighten around your waist raising you up so he can deepen the kiss. It's always baffled you how he managed to always taste like honey and mint. On anything else it would probably be disgusting but with Castiel it's a heavenly taste. He lowers you back to your toes laying his forehead on yours. His eyes are closed and he's just breathing. He'd mentioned before that he loved your smell, he never explained what it was. Always said it didn't smell like anything but you. You smile at the memory. Reluctantly you pull away from him, going to the living room to look for a movie to watch. You find the perfect on almost immediately. You curl up on the couch with blankets and pillows making sure you're comfortable. Castiel doesn't take long walking in with a try of food. He smiles when he sees your movie choice.
"You really weren't kidding when you said it was your favorite song," he chuckles handing you a plate of pancakes. You swear you could've started drooling.
"No, Sir, I was not. Neptune's Daughter is my favorite, for the one reason of 'Baby its Cold Outside'," you say digging into his delicious food. "It's really unbelievable how good a cook you are, Babe. It almost makes me feel bad." He raises an eyebrow at you so you continue. "Well ever since we found out you've been doing everything for me. You cook me breakfast every day, you deal with my mood-swings. I feel bad about putting you through this." He stares at you completely awe-struck before a small smile finds his lips.
"(y/n), sometimes you confuse me so much." He sets down his plate so he can take your face in his hands, making sure you're staring him straight in the eye. "I love you, (y/n). Hence the marriage and baby. You're not putting me through anything I don't welcome with open arms. I don't mind getting up early and cooking for you, I actually very much enjoy it. Especially when you watch me while I'm cooking. You get this beautiful look in your eyes, and it makes me happy. I'm not saying mood-swings are my favorite but, I don't wish them away for one second. Because the mood-swings and the morning sickness and the abundance of food you eat and your heavenly glow, it's all for and because of this little one," he gingerly places a hand on your stomach. "I wouldn't trade any of this for anything in the world. You have absolutely no reason to be sorry." You smile at Castiel feeling tears burn in your eyes. When a few escape he wipes them away with his thump.
"I love you, too." You lean forward sealing your lips together. You would never get enough of kissing Castiel. "Thank you."
"I'm immensely over-joyed to of service." He pecks you on the lips once more then turns back towards the screen with you tucked tight under his arm. You take a deep breath easily willing the tears to stop. You get a whiff of peppermint chocolate-chip cookies again but they're nowhere to be seen. You're about to ask when Castiel interrupts you. "Hey, it's your favorite part." You turn your full attention to the screen immediately singing along to the first line of your favorite song.
"I really can't stay." You look over at Castiel pleadingly. He laughs shaking his head.
"Nope," he says crossing his arms.
"I've got to away." You get up standing in front of Castiel with a pout. He stays stoic and still. You round the couch throwing your arms around his shoulders. "This evening as been," you kiss his neck and feel him sigh.
"Been hoping that you'd drop in," he mumbles though you can see the small smile on his face.
"So very nice." You stand up walking towards the kitchen. Before you can Castiel grabs your hand no longer trying to contain his smile.
"I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice." You pull it away continuing your track to the kitchen.
"My mother will start to worry." You feel hands on your waist and a chest on your back.
"Beautiful, what's your hurry?"
"Father will be pacing the floor."
"Listen to the fireplace roar." You two sway back and forth, smiles plastered on your faces
"So really I'd better scurry." You swing yourself out from Castiel's chest but he still has a firm grip on your hand.
"Beautiful, please don't hurry," Castiel pouts at you with his big blue eyes then twirls you in a circle so you're now pressed up against his chest.
"Maybe just a half a drink more," you smirk.
"Put some records on while I pour." You start slow dancing around the small kitchen. Singing the lines to each other like it was actually your words. While he's distracted you run away from him and down the hall to your bedroom. You hear him close behind you, half laughing half singing.
"I ought to say no, no, no." You stay on one side of the bed, Castiel on the other watching you carefully.
"Mind if I move in closer?" He rounds the bed and so do you.
"At least I'm gonna say that I tried." He lunges for you and you get away by an inch.
"What's the sense in hurting my pride?" He sings from the floor while you laugh at him from across the room.
"I really can't stay. Ah, but its cold outside," you sing as you skip down the hall back to the living room. You sit on the couch and can hear Cas' approaching footsteps.
"I've got to home." Castiel jumps on the couch pinning you under him.
"Oh, Baby, you'll freeze out there." He emphasizes his point by drawing his hand down your arm causing you to shutter.
"Say, lend me your coat," You say lifting the fabric of his shirt over his head.
"It's up to your knees out here," his hand makes its way to your leg grabbing it just above your knee and pulling it up to round his waist.
"You've been really grand." Your hand goes to cover Castiel's on your thigh.
"Thrill when you touch me hand." You flip him over so you're on top of him, just to get up and walk away.
"What don't you see?" You smile at him from afar.
"How can you do this thing to me?"
"There's bound to be talk tomorrow," you sing jumping to sit on the counter in the kitchen. Castiel literally slides into the kitchen on his socks while singing causing you to burst out laughing.
"Think of my life long sorrow."
"At least there will be plenty implied." Castiel stands between your legs cupping your face in his hands.
"If you caught pneumonia and died."
"I really can't stay," you almost whisper leaning in closer to Castiel.
"Get over that hold out," he sings about the same volume as you had.
"Ah, but its cold outside
Oh, baby, its cold outside
Oh, baby, its cold outside," you both finish together. Your foreheads are touching, he leans in that last inch to kiss you. You sigh into it pulling his sides to bring him closer. You can't kiss for long though since you were both already out of breath from running around. You smile at the love of your life, so happy you get to keep him. He smiles back at you and it seems like he's think the same thing. Your retrieve is broken by the smell of fucking peppermint chocolate-chip cookies.
"Okay, why does it smell like Peppermint cookies?" Castiel looks confused for a second before turning around and picking a small lit candle from the table.
"You mean this?" You grab the candle taking a deep breath and your senses are invaded by a perfect resemblance of the smell of peppermint chocolate chip cookies. You frown at the candle. "What?" Cas questions.
"I just thought it was real peppermint chocolate-chip cookies." He smiles at you again bending down look you in the eyes.
"Would you like me to go get you Peppermint cookies?" You bite your lip, not positive if you want to make him go out just to get you cookies. Castiel laughs kissing you again. "God, you're adorable." He feathers kisses allover your face making you scrunch it up and laugh. He goes off in search of his shirt while you sit back down on the couch watching your movie. Before he leaves you wink at him, make sure to tell him to grab a jacket because it's cold outside to which he rolled his eyes.
It doesn't take him long at all and before you know it he back and you're both curled up on the couch again eating peppermint cookies, watching Christmas movies and enjoying each other company.
