(Y/N) licked her lips nervously as she placed the small silver-and-red gift bag on the fireplace along with the other gifts, folding the name tag over so her scribbled handwriting of Isaac's name wasn't visible.
"I'm glad you could make it." Allison smiled, handing her a plastic glass of a bubbly red drink. (Y/N) rose her eyebrows as she accepted the cup, and Allison laughed. "Sparkling Grape Juice. Scott's mom is watching like a hawk."
(Y/N) nodded and let out an 'ah'. "Gotcha."
"So, who did you have again for secret santa..?" Allison questioned quietly.
"You want me to tell you in a room full of werewolves with super hearing?" (Y/N) asked facetiously. Allison laughed in realization. (Y/N) turned her head so nobody could see her face, and mouthed 'Isaac'.
She smirked. "Oooh, and what'd you get him?" Allison asked, completely aware of (Y/N)'s crush on her werewolf best friend.
"You'll find out soon enough." (Y/N) stated simply. "I'm almost positive Lydia set it up on purpose."
Allison took it into consideration. "Probably, yeah."
"When are we gonna open the gifts anyways? I thought-"
"Everyone! Time for gifts!" Lydia exclaimed excitedly, clapping her hands as the last of the pack set their gift down. "Who wants to go first?"
Allison watched (Y/N) sigh nervously and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, I'm sure whatever you got him, he'll love. You guys are best friends."
(Y/N) gave a tight smile. "Thanks, Alli."
Everyone sat down on couches, chairs and carpets as Lydia went around and handed the gifts out, grasping the last one that had her name written on the tag as she sat on the couch next to Allison and (Y/N). "Are we all going to open them at once?" Stiles questioned, studying the blue bag with white tissue paper, looking for a clue to what it contained.
A chorus of approval arose and Lydia nodded happily. Isaac let out a worrisome breath, and Scott clamped a hand on his shoulder from beside him. "You got this, dude."
Lydia smiled with enthusiasm. "All right, ready.. set.. go!"
(Y/N) tore back the red wrapping paper to reveal a sleek, white cardboard box. Taking the small paper into her hand delicately, she decided to open the box before reading the card. She pressed her lips together in pursuit of not watching Isaac open his gift from her. Folding the lid of the box back, her jaw fell slack as she picked up a mug with her name in cursive lettering on the side. She smiled in happiness, as the person who gifted this to her obviously knew of her undying love for coffee and tea.
Meanwhile, Isaac took a breath and started withdrawing the tissue paper, using every ounce of power to not watch (Y/N) open her gift. He tore the paper out until he uncovered a nice, new black wallet. He smiled, recalling the moments when he complained about his raggedy old wallet that barely held anything and realized that someone must have been listening attentively when he noticed that it was the exact wallet he had wanted. He opened the wallet to find a small picture in the clear cardholder of him and his best friend (Y/N), the pair laughing as Isaac carried her on his back.
His heart thumped with emotion as he took the photo out, rubbing his thumb over the edge. His lips turned up in a heartfelt smile as he noticed a card still sitting at the bottom of the bag.
Nudging Allison's side, (Y/N) lifted the mug up to showcase her new gift. "Alli, look at what I-"
Her sentence caught in her throat when she noticed a long, small red box sitting inside the porcelain. Intrigued, she lifted the box out and pulled a small slip of paper along with it. Opening the box gently, she gasped as she saw a beautiful gold necklace with a heart-shaped charm no bigger than the size of her thumbnail.
"Oh my gosh, (Y/N) that's beautiful," Allison voiced from beside her. (Y/N) nodded in agreement, her eyes still glued to her gift. "What does the card say?"
(Y/N) snapped out of her gaze on the expensive-looking jewelry to unfold the paper, her eyes reading over the writing she recognized immediately.
"I love you
-Isaac"'
Isaac himself held his card in his hands, reading over the words over and over again in disbelief.
"Dear Isaac:
I know you kept complaining about ripping your wallet in half, so I got you the new one you wanted. I hope you like it.
I love you more than words can describe. Sorry if you don't feel the same way, I hope you still enjoy the wallet.
Love, (Y/N)"
Almost simultaneously, Isaac's and (Y/N)'s heads snapped up to look at each other in incredulity. After staring at each other for a few seconds, trying to decode what each other was feeling, Isaac took the liberty to rush over to kneel in front of where (Y/N)'s legs were crossed on the couch.
"So, do you.." He coughed. "You love me?"
(Y/N) nodded, at a loss for words. "I do."
"The same way I love you," He repeated for clarification, staring into her eyes.
(Y/N) nodded promptly, and before she could utter another word, Isaac placed his large hands around her face gently and pressed his lips against hers hastily, as if he had waited for this one moment for years on end.
Lydia smirked happily, clutching her new scarf and gloves she received from Scott as she watched Isaac and (Y/N) like a proud mother.
"You totally set this up, didn't you?" Allison questioned, her heart swelling as she watched the adorable new couple.
"Of course." Lydia chirped. "I had to do it somehow."
