WARNING!!!
IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE NEW STAR WARS FO NOT READ THIS.  AND THIS IS A FRIENDSHIP.

You and Rey were in an abandoned shipped, scavenging for parts. To make it fun, you both enjoyed competing against each other. Whoever found the most parts, didn't have to scrub the dirt off when they returned to town.
It was something that kept you and Rey on your feet.
You were here only two months before she arrived. And the moment you two met, you clicked immediately.
Your family had left you behind as well, and though you weren't sure why, you always hoped they'd return. Just like Rey. And maybe that was the reason you two connected.
"I think we are done for today." Rey called out.
You looked down and watched as she jumped to the rope and climbed down. You followed close behind.
Rey had barely any water left, maybe only a couple drops. The heat was excruciating to say the least. So you have her a sip of yours.
"Thanks." She smiled.
"Of course. So I found a few scraps and a rebel helmet!" You smiled. "What about you?"
She looked at her things, and quietly counted. "I only found a few. " She shrugged her shoulders and sighed. "It's okay, there's always tomorrow."
Both you and Rey packed the speeder and climbed on. You held on to her as she drove back to town.
Jakku was known for being a junkyard. It was basically every man for themselves.
No one really cared for one another.
"How many portions do you think will get today?" You mumbled, helping Rey take everything to the sanitation area.
She shrugged her shoulders, squinting her eyes from the brightness of the sun. "Knowing the blobfish, it may only be 1 portion."
Rey was right. Unkar Plutt was by far the rudest and greedy crolute of all time.
As hours passed, Rey was right. You and her both received 1 portion of food. Luckily, you have been used to the small ration, that it doesn't make a difference.
You and Rey had a cozy little place you called home in Arnold abandoned AT-AT.
She had a bed on one side, while ours was on the other. It wasn't anything close to extravagant but it was a place where you two could just be yourselves.
It was home.
After eating and sharing each other's foods, Rey put on her helmet she had found weeks ago.
"What do you think happened before the war of Jakku?" She asked, finishing up her last piece of bread.
You shrugged your shoulders and sighed as you looked up to the sky. "Who knows. What if there was a grand life here. With beautiful homes and so much green, people were sick of it."
Rey loved this game of yours. Coming up with stories and ideas of how life used to be before the war. "And no one had to scavenge for food. They had so much, they didn't know what to do with it."
"Bet they were so fat, they couldn't move. Like Blobfish!"
Laughter escaped you both, filling the light air.
"Can you just imagine? A world filled with more Blobfish? It'd be disgusting." She cackled.
You let out a sigh as you rested your head on her shoulder. "Do you think there are planets with oceans and lots of green? Do you think there's such thing?"
Rey felt her lips drop at the thought. She knew how much you wanted to rid of this planet, and how much you wanted to see an ocean. It pained her to know she couldn't show you.
"I'm sure there is." She turned to you, staring intently into your eyes. "I promise Y/N, one day you and I will leave this behind and we will find the planet we dream of."
You flashed a soft smile. "I don't know what I would do without you." You whispered.
As she opened her mouth, the sound of a droid caught both of your attention.
Your eyes widened. "Did you hear that?"
The sound echoed again, which you then propped up on your feet and started down toward the noise.
"Y/N!" Rey called out. She grabbed her stick and followed behind you.
Immediately, you both stopped as you saw Teeto.
"Let him go!" You called out, running down to free the droid.
Rey and Teeto argued for a moment, as you cut the net that held the poor thing. "Are you okay?" You asked.
It's head bobbed back and fourth. Creating you to smile. "Good."
"Your antenna is bent." Rey muttered. She pulled it off its head as she tried to straighten it up. "Where are you from?" She asked.
The droid beeped.
"Oh it's classified?" She exclaimed. "Mine too."
Rey replaced the antenna back on its head. "Town is that way. Stay away from the south end. The sand there will suck you right in."
You looked at Rey, and furrowed your brows. "He can't go to town. They'll take him and use him for parts!"
She shook her head. "We can't take him. He belongs to someone else."
You looked down at the droid. "What's your name?"
It beeped once again.
"BB-8?" You smirked. "Well it's nice to meet you. How about you stay with us for tonight and we will take you back to town tomorrow morning?"
BB-8 bobbed its head and rolled around in excitement.
"Fine. But he's staying in your side." She muttered.
"Deal!"
