Today was you and Liam's date night. It was a well-deserved break from the things that you and your friends had to go through on a daily basis. Usually, you and Liam's date night would be cancelled due to all the things that were going on around Beacon Hills, but not today. Today you and the pack were free because of the abrupt disappearance of the Dread Doctors. You hoped and prayed that this disappearance would be permanent, you obviously did not want them back due to the emotional damage they caused you and the pack. All of you were still struggling to mend your broken relationships: Stiles and Malia were starting to talk to each other; Scott was looking for Kira and most importantly: Scott and Stiles were fixing the Donovan issue. However, you and Liam remained the only outlasting couple in all of this mess, and today was the day that the both of you were going to relax in each others well-needed company.
"Liam! Come outside! It's going to be fun I promise!" you yelled at your boyfriend, begging him to join you outside.
"But Y/n..." he whined, "Its pouring rain and you're drenched with water. Come inside or you'll catch a cold!" he screamed back at you while gesturing for you to come inside. You had to admit, he was right. It was cold, but you didn't care. You always loved the rain, no matter where and no matter when. It made you feel free and careless, and that's how you felt right now.
"Oh, shut up Dunbar. You're a werewolf and I'm not for crying out loud! You're not supposed to be the one afraid of a common cold." However, what he didn't know was that although you weren't a werewolf, and you were not a human either. The pack didn't know what you were because of your ability to hide your scent but you, Y/N Y/L/N, are a witch. You came from a long line of witches and wizards that aged back into the 1500s! Although it was great having unique powers that you could use at your own will, being a witch wasn't something that you were exactly proud of. Witches in fairytales were usually portrayed as evil with green faces and warts on their noses. Unlike you, you were a very normal girl, minus the fact that you could set something into flames by just thinking about it. Even though you were friends with several types of Supernaturals, you were very reluctant to tell your friends what you were. You were afraid that they would shun you. After all, witches did some horrible things to some werewolves back in the day that shall not be named.
You and Liam continued to argue until he finally gave in. The two of you began to walk aimlessly around his neighbourhood, hand in hand, until I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston started playing loudly from a neighbouring house.
"Y/N Y/L/N, may I have this dance?" Liam said whilst extending his hand towards you.
"Yes. Yes, you may." You took his hand in yours and placed it on your waist before placing your arms around his very well-built shoulders. You then rested your head on his chest, becoming mesmerised by his steady heartbeat. The two of you danced for what seemed like hours in the pouring rain until you heard a strange sound coming from close by.
"Liam. Liam," you whisper-yelled, desperately trying to catch his attention, "Liam!", you finally caught his attention. He looked at you with a confused expression.
"What Y/N? Aren't you having fun?"
"Yes I am Liam, but don't you hear that noise?" The noise was becoming louder and closer. You weren't one to get scared easily, but this terrified you.
"Y/N, should we go check it out?" Liam asked you.
"No, Liam. I am not about to be one of those girls that die in the first few seconds of a horror movie because of her curiousit—" You weren't able to finish your sentence as a hooded figure came out of the bushes. You did what your instincts told you to do: RUN!
You ran through the unfamiliar streets of Liam's neighbourhood with Liam running close behind at your heels. You were silently praying and hoping that you lost the hooded figure. The two of you became tired after a while and started to slow down. Bad idea. The hooded figure decided to speed up and cornered the two of you into a dark alleyway. You grasped on to Liam for dear life as the two of you cowered into a corner, obviously scared for your lives.
"Please, please, please. I don't want to die, not now. Fuck, I am going to die like one of those girls in the movies." You continued to mutter inaudible things into Liam's chest as the figure approached the two of you slowly while wielding a very sharp knife.
"Shut up!" the person screamed, "You two are going to tell me how to get into the McCall Pack right now, or else—or else, the two of you lovebirds will not live to see tomorrow."
"What makes you think we would tell you?" Suddenly gaining courage Liam let go of you and faced the 'villain'.
"Because, well, I suppose you don't want to die?" He said to the both of you as if he was talking to 4-year-olds. This made your blood boil.
"You're pathetic you know?" Liam retorted viciously. You knew he was just trying to buy time. He was trying to think of a plan. Unfortunately, it didn't last much longer as the figure charged forward and slashed Liam across the chest with his blade.
"LIAM!" You yelled. You knew he was going to heal, but that didn't stop you from being scared.
Very soon, this turned into a full-blown fight. Liam brought out his claws and put in everything he had, but it still wasn't enough. He wasn't going to last for much longer. You were trying to figure out a plan when you realized whom you were and what you were.
You were Y/N Y/L/N and you were one of the brightest witches of your age. You walked onto the battlefield, filled with courage until you felt a force put a protective arm in front of you. It was Liam.
"Y/N! Leave! Go! I can hold him off! Call Scott! Now!"
You were confused until you remembered that he didn't know what you were. This was going to reveal your well-hidden secret, but you didn't care. You remembered your parents always telling you: "The only time you are to reveal you true identity is when there is a dire cause. Otherwise, it should be kept and sealed inside you. No one needs to know."
Your boyfriend was being destroyed by a hooded murderer; if this wasn't a dire cause you didn't know what was. Therefore, you ignored the pleas and cries of your boyfriend and decided to approach the enemy with open arms. The hooded figure looked at you with almost sorry eyes before charging at her at full speed.
"EXPELLIARMUS!" You yelled, causing the blade in the possession of your attacker to fly out of his hands. He stood there dumbfounded, wondering what caused that sudden change of events. Liam, on the other hand, was sitting on the floor, healing and watching you be the badass you were. But, he couldn't help but feel a bit upset: Why didn't you tell him all along?
"HUMANA EXUMAI!" You screamed, letting your voice echo through the alleyway. The man was flung across the pavement. He banged his head on a the brick wall and slid down. Unconscious. Through everything that happened to him his hood managed to become undone. Once you saw who your attacker was you couldn't believe it. It was Theo. That little son of a b—. You were brought out of your thoughts when Liam came trudging towards you with a hurt expression on his face, and you knew just why.
"Liam, look I'm sorry. I knew I should have told you, but I didn't know how to approach you. I didn't want you to look at me differently. Whenever I told people I trusted that I was a witch they always started to avoid me and spread rumors to the extent that my parent told me to change schools. That's the real reason why I moved from Atwood High to Beacon Hill, not because of my dad's job. I should ha—mmph." You were cut off as your face came in contact with Liam's chest.
"I could never look at you differently. I love you okay. I don't care whether you are a witch or not." He used his finger to lift up your chin, so now you were looking at him in the eye.
"You were a badass out there Y/N, just like you always are." At that very moment, you knew you were in love. No one outside of your family has every been so calm about your powers. You were so grateful for Liam, you honestly felt like crying. You were brought out of the moment by the stirring of your victim on the floor.
"Oh I should probably deal with him," you told Liam, "AVISFORS!"
And with that Theo turned into a yellow canary. Just. Like. That. Liam looked very confused. And to be honest, you were confused too.
"Um, Y/N, I'm not criticising you or anything but... why did you turn Theo into a bird?"
"Well Liam, to be frank, I don't know. I've never used this spell before, I thought I'd give it a try." As you said that Liam's facial expression turned into a frightened one. He frightened, even more, when you continued to talk, "I hope there's a reversal spell for this, or else little Theo over here is going to be a bird forever." You chuckled, "I'm sure Stiles is going to be very happy about this."
In addition, with that, you grabbed the hand of the speechless Liam Dunbar and left the dark alleyway with a certain yellow canary struggling in your grasp. This was quite an eventful date, even for the both of you.
