Jensen Ackles Part One

Hey this was supposed to be posted yesterday but it was hard to come up with the an ending so it is one day late.

Jensen couldn't wipe the smile off his face. JJ had been bugging him all week about going to see Santa. He was planning on taking her anyway, but he had to make sure that work was caught up first. So he kept no promises.
He told her the great news when he was finished filming on Friday, which of course made her ecstatic. He loved seeing her so happy, and the fact that he was the one that brought the excitement to her made him feel even better.
He hasn't been the happiest or the most motivated dad this past year, but he's been trying his best. Within the last year, he's lost his wife, sold his house, moved up to Vancouver so he could be close to work and still get JJ back and forth to school. His whole life changed, and so did his daughters.
Losing her mother, having to move schools and at such a young age. It was definitely something they had to adjust to, but it seemed to be getting better. Jared and Gen helped out a lot, not only making it easier on JJ but Jensen as well.
Jensen's smile fell slightly when he looked in the rear view mirror and saw his little girl. She looked sad, definitely not as happy as she seemed last night. She was staring down at a toy in her hands and not dancing and singing along with the radio like usual.
"Hey. What's wrong sweetheart?" She didn't move. "What happened to my excited little girl?"
"I don't know." she mumbled quietly.
"You don't know?" he looked back to see her shake her head. "Well, do you know what you're going to ask Santa for this year?"
"No."
"No!? All the toys that you've been wanting, and you don't know what you're going to ask him?" he watched as she shrugged.
She looked so down, and it broke his heart. She was like that for the rest of the drive to Jared's. How could a four year old be so sad at Christmas time?
A couple minutes later, he pulled into Jared's driveway. He kept looking up at his little girls heartbreaking face as he unbuckled her from her car seat.
"Are you excited to see Tom and Shep?"
"Yeah." her voice was even heartbreaking.
"Yeah? What about uncle Jared?"
"And aunti Gen." he chuckled as he pulled her out of the car.
"Yep, and aunti Gen."
Jared heard them pull in and by the time JJ touched the ground, he was waiting at the front door.
"Hey! There they are!" JJ ran up to him and he swooped her in his arms, giving her a huge hug. "Are you excited to see Santa today?"
"I don't know."
"You don't know!?" he pulled away and saw the same sad look that Jensen just endured the whole car ride.
"JJ!" The boys ran up behind their dad and he set her on the floor. They took off running into the house, then he turned and smiled at Jensen, giving him a quick hug.
"Dude, what's up with JJ?"
"I don't know. She's been like that the whole way over here. She said she doesn't know what to ask Santa for. Maybe she's just scared she won't get anything?"
"Hmm. That's weird."
"Yeah."
"Well, you want a cup of coffee before we go?"
"Yes, please." They both chuckled as they headed for the kitchen.

"I think I'm gonna ask for a new bike, with flames on the side so I can go really fast." Tom was sharing what he wanted from Santa as he put his shoes on, and then he helped Shep.
"I want the dinosaur movie."
"Jurassic World?"
"Yeah."
"What are you asking for JJ?"
"I don't know."
"But it's Santa. He'll give you anything."
"He can't get me what I want."
"What do you want?" Even at a young age, Tom was the protective and caring brother type.
"You guys ready to go?" They all looked over to the door, seeing Gen standing there.
"Yes mommy."
"Okay, got your shoes on?"
"Yes."
"Hey, mom and dad are ready. How are the kids doing?" Jared came up behind Gen, placing a hand on her lower back, looking into the room.
"They're ready. Alright, lets go." Gen reached her hand out and Shep ran over to her.
"You coming you two?" JJ watched as Jared leaned over, giving Gen a quick kiss.
"Yeah daddy." Tom stood from the floor, JJ following shortly after, and Jared started down the hall with Gen. Tom turned to JJ once more before they left.
"What do you want JJ?" She looked at him with one of the saddest faces you could imagine.
"I want a mommy."
