Peeta rubs the burning cream onto Evan's burns. As I can see his burns are getting much better. There no longer red, but white. His face no longer has a scared look, it's skin is pealing away to reveal soon enough a healthy new face of Evan's. I was so happy in the moment that he was getting better. But Johanna was really bothering me. She was sitting motionless in front of the fire, it crackled and burned almost drowning out her sigh. Peeta sat up and walked to the door to open the window. It felt comfy to feel cool air, I rolled my sleeves of my sweater up. Evan smiled and Ivy came over. "Your face is better!" she exclaims. "Almost" Peeta muses. I smile at him, and he flashes me a overwhelmingly good looking smile. "Can you do my hair mom?" Ivy asks, she stands in front of me as Evan sits to turn the television on. "Yes! Where's your comb?" "In my room" "I'll get it" Peeta said.

The news was distracting me. Twice I had to re-do one strand of her hair. The news casters were outside the hall of District thirteen. I could see the concrete entrance, the words carvings. "Hey Evan can you switch the channel?" I ask, hesitantly. He looks at me then back at the television. Suddenly it flashes to a documentary of an elk. "This is fine" I said, enjoying the talker's calm and smooth voice. The elk lives at least for.... I hear out and begin to finish Ivy's hair.

I looked at Johanna's belly how it has grown in a week, the baby was developing. She was exhausted from it. And I know just how it feels. I was there once and I'm never going back. Johanna got up and hollered as she made it out towards the door "Bye! "Her voice was tight and not like her. She was super worried for Jack's safety. But I knew he was going to be fine. Ultimately, he may get in trouble. And it should have been me who went to stop it. "Peeta should I see if she's alright?" I ask him. He glances at me, and shrugs. "You probably should, it could be her baby" he said, and in his expression I saw the pure joy emotion that always played on his face when he thought of a baby. Or children. It would thrill him when he saw the baby. He loved children.

I left and Ivy clung to me, I protested telling her it's not a big deal. A few times she mumbled lowly, baby. I went in her house and heard Johanna groaning loudly in pain. I immediately told Ivy "Ivy go get your dad, now!" I rushed in and I found her in the bathroom, on the toilet hunched over. "Kat-Kat-it hurts!" she panted. "Johanna there must be something wrong your baby's not due!" I told her. "I wish Jack were here" she whined. I should have went, I think. I frown just as Peeta rushes in with my mother. "We need to get her to the hospital, now!" I protest as mom inspects Johanna with a calm look. "She's just experiencing... I don't know..the baby would be to early...alright Katniss.....damn she's bleeding! Peeta! Help me!" mom lifts her up, Effie rushes in her car keys in hand. "Need a ride?" she asks flourishly. I roll my eyes at her "Effie not the time" I said sourly. She frowns, as I grab Johanna's thighs, forcing her to get up. She protests, growling madly. "UGH!" she moans.

We lay Johanna in the back, sweaty and panting. We make it at the hospital much faster than walking, obviously. Peeta calls a nurse. When the nurse sees her she mummers "Oh my"
