*1 month later*

I was just chilling in my room when my phone started ringing. I looked at it and smiled before I answered it.

"Hey Ridge, what's up?"

"Nothing, um can I come over?" I frowned at the uncertainty in his voice.

"Yeah of course, is everything ok?"

"Y-Yeah, I just need to get away from my place for a while. I'll be over in a bit." Before I could say anything he hung up. That was weird. I sighed and started texting Axel.

Sky- hey, are you at work?

Axel- Nope have the day off just trying to put the fire out in the kitchen.

Sky- Fire? NVM, Ridge just called me and he didn't sound ok. He asked if he could come over to my place and I said it was ok but there's something he's not telling me

Axel- idk he hasn't talked to me for a while and Astrid tried to cook something.

Sky- that explains the fire, but I'm worried about Ridge

Axel- same okay so just try to get him to talk maybe isn't about his uncle or something...

Sky- I hope not, that guy is creepy sounding and I've never seen him

Axel- I have I was going over to Ridge's and him and his uncle was fighting again.

Sky- again? What do you mean by that?

Axel- yeah that was like there second time fighting that I knew of

Sky- what were they fighting about

Axel- idk

Sky- ok, well I'll let you know if I find anything out

Axel- okay and btw Astrid says hi

I smiled and sighed.

Sky- tell her I said hi back and I'll talk to you later

Axel- kk ttyl

I put my phone down just as someone rang the doorbell. I got up and slid down the stair rail and ran up to the door. I checked the peephole and it was just Ridge. I opened the door and smiled at him.

"Hey Ridge, come on in." Ridge smiled and walked in. He left his shoes on the rug and we went into the living room. I sat on the coffee table in front of him and he sighed.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"It's nothing important," He mumbled.

"Yes it is, it has affected your mood so it is important."

"No it isn't."

"Ridge-"

"I don't want to talk about it Sky. Please just drop it." I sighed.

"Fine, but you need to talk to someone instead of bottling up your problems." Ridge looked at me confused.

"I do not bottle up my problems."

"Do too."

"Do not."

"Do too!"

"Do n-" Suddenly the TV came on and started blaring out an alert.

"Ridge did you turn on the TV?" I asked softly. He shook his head.

"Please remain indoors. This is for your own safety. Please remain-" Suddenly the power went out and I jumped as I heard a loud boom.

"The hell is that!?" I semi-shouted. Ridge shrugged then looked outside.

"I think part of downtown just got blown up."

"Downtown? That's where Axel lives."

"And Lalna," Ridge said panicked. I sighed then ran upstairs to my dad's room. I grabbed a bobby pin and broke it in half. I focused on the lock on my dad's gun case then after a minute I got it. I grabbed the pistol and made sure it was loaded before getting a holster and hiding it under my shirt. I went back downstairs and looked at Ridge.

"Ok here's the plan. We're going to get Lalna first, because he's younger and Axel can take care of himself." Ridge nodded and he seemed to calm down a bit.

"Ok, but we don't know what's out there."

"Well we're going to find out." I grabbed the doorknob and looked at Ridge. "Ready?" He nodded.

"I guess." I smiled then opened the door.
