I got my homework done and I was walking to Axel's house. I was halfway there when someone called me. I answered my phone and sighed.

"Hello?"

"Hey where are you?" Axel asked.

"I'm on the way to your house."

"Okay whatever you do don't go outback."

"Why?"

"It's kinnda flooded."

"I said I was sorry!" Astrid shouted in the background.

"Ok, I won't go outback."

"Okay thought that I should tell you."

"Ok, I'll be over there in a little bit."

"Okay bye." He said hanging up. I sighed and continued walking.

I made it to the house and knocked on the door.

"Come in!" I opened the door and went in.

"Hey it's me!" I called out.

"You came!" Astrid said tackling me in a hug. I hugged her back and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm here."

"So how is life?" Axel asked.

"Fine, my dad has been acting a bit weird but I'm fine."

"How weird?"

"A little weirder than usual. It's kinda like he's getting paranoid."

"That's weird."

"Yeah but it's fine."

"So Astrid when will the backyard not be flooded?"

"I don't know."

"Ok what happened to the backyard?" I asked curiously.

"Um well I kinda had a bad day and my emotions took over and I flooded the backyard."

"That a bit weird. How flooded is it?"

"It covered the back porch."

"Oh, that doesn't sound good."

"It's not I got yelled at for it."

"I bet you did," I sighed. "So um, how's Ridge doing? He wasn't at school."

"He has a cold and strep throat so not very good."

"Doesn't sound good either. Has he been sleeping?"

"Yeah his medicine knocks him out so he has been sleeping most of the day." Axel said getting up.

"Ok, so where's Lalna at?" I asked looking around.

"He's probably in the room with Ridge." I nodded.

"Ok, but isn't Ridge contagious?"

"No because we caught the strep early the doctors said that he wasn't."

"Well that's good."

"Yeah I'm going to start on dinner."

"Alright, I brought a movie over can we watch it?"

"What movie?" Astrid asked.

"It's called Nine. I think you'll like it. It's stop animation."

"Stop animation?" She said confused.

"There's clay figures and they slowly move them then take a picture. It's a long process but it's really creative." She nodded.

"Let's watch it." I smiled then popped it into the DvD player.

"It's a Tim Burton movie so it's a bit weird." She nodded with her eyes glued on the TV.

"What do you guys want for dinner I would have to go out and get it."

"Um, can we get Mexican?"

"Sure, I'll get it at your favorite restaurant." I smiled.

"Thanks Axel."

"Yep I'll be back." He left just as the movie started.

"Fair warning, don't get attached to the characters," I whispered.

"Why?"

"You'll see."

"I don't like the sound of that." I smiled.

"Yeah, I know."
