The Dark Hour

Axel covered my head when the house was shook. It stopped and I looked up at him.

"What was that?!" I asked a bit panicked. We had no electricity and I didn't want to go outside. Axel looked out the window and growled.

"The convenience store got blown up. Are you okay?" I nodded. Damn it I hope it's not who I think it is. I'm going to fucking kill them. There was a knock at the door and Axel grabbed a knife. He walked over to the door. "Who is it?" He asked.

"It's me Axel!" Lalna shouted. "My power went out and my mom's not home and I got scared. Can you please let me in?" Axel unlocked the door and let Lalna in I quickly walked over to him.

"Are you okay? Does Ridge know you're here?" I asked him. He shook his head.

"No, I got scared and I forgot my phone."

"I'll call them if I have tower. Astrid stay with Lalna." I nodded and got Lalna on the couch.

"Do you know what's going on?" He shook his head.

"No, I saw some dark looking guys kind of patrolling the streets and I don't recognize them at all."

"Were they tan like me? With like red and maybe white hair with blood red eyes?" I asked worriedly.

"They had on body armor and I really didn't get that much of a look of them."

"Shit." I mumbled. I looked up and Axel came back in the room.

"Okay Lalna Ridge and Skyla are almost here I told them that you were here at my place." He nodded.

"Ok, so what are we going to do when they get here?" He asked softly.

"I don't know stay inside and try to be safe." I sighed.

"I-I have to go." I said running out the door. I ran down a few blocks and saw the dark colored clouds and my parents with like half of my army. They stopped like three feet away. I turned my head cause I heard running and I saw all my friends.

"Astrid what the hell are you doing?!" Axel yelled.

"Yeah, why are you running towards them?" Skyla asked confused. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I swallowed it and looked at my parents and I saw Vincent.

"Mom dad why are you doing this?!" I said looking back at them.

"To get you back, do you know how long it took us to find you." I shook my head.

"No and I don't care to be honest."

"Astrid what the hell?!" Axel asked taking a few steps closer. Vincent quickly got behind me and pulled out his sword.

"Stay away from the Princess you vile creatures!'' Vincent snapped.

"What the hell?" Skyla shouted. "Astrid?"

"Vincent stand down and put your sword away there's no need for it, they are my friends and I don't want to cause trouble for the human race. Mother Father if you want me to come back I will as long as there is no more harm done to these humans."

"As you wish daughter we will be waiting for you by at the park thing so we can all go home. Vincent make sure she comes."

"Yes your majesty." My parents left and it was just me, Vincent and my friends. I walked over to them with tears in my eyes.

"I guess this is when I say bye."

"Just like that?" Skyla asked. "How could you say that!? Can't you um I don't know!" She looked at Axel. "Little help please."

"There's nothing I can really do I mean I feel like I don't even know her anymore." Axel stated. My eyes grew wide.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys that I was a fucking demon like really how would you react to that and I was telling you the truth on where I come from. I'm from Hell you know like Satan yeah he's my dad and I have to take over! I don't want war to come to you and your race."

"Astrid, there has got to be better way," Ridge sighed. "How could you just give up?"

"I'm not giving up. You guys showed me almost everything in a month's time I don't want to go but my parents would destroy this world just to get me back." I sighed. "I'm sorry you guys but this is where it ends." Skyla sighed, then she blinked.

"Ok, well don't go back alone." She took something out of her pocket and pushed it into my hands. "Be careful." Vincent growled and grabbed his weapon.

"Vincent what did I say." He slowly let go and I looked at the little box in my hands. I opened it a little bit then closed it. "Why?" I asked, she kept this knife on her at all times no matter what. She smirked.

"You know, just to remember us." Tears were consuming my face and I pulled her into a hug.

"Princess we should get going." I pulled away and nodded.

"Yes your right. I-I should go it's just going to be harder to say bye right now."

"I'm going home." Axel said turning and walking away.

"I think he's mad." I said lowly. Ridge shrugged.

"He'll get over it. He usually doesn't hold a grudge." I nodded and walked over to Lalna and pulled off my necklace that I've been wearing all this time.

"Here I think you might need it more than I do." I said handing it out to him.

"B-But it's yours," He said softly. I smiled and ruffled up his hair.

"It's yours now I want you to have it." He nodded then carefully took it.

"Thank you." I nodded.

"I should get going Mother and Father might be getting worried." Vincent nodded. I turned and walked to where my family was at I sighed and Vincent grabbed my waist and we went back home.
