The Dark Hour

"So you're a full blooded angel?"

"Yes."

"And how old are you?"

"Twelve."

"Really?"

"I've had advanced training since I was six."

"Geez Seto." Seto nodded then sighed.

"But it's fine, I don't do dangerous things just stuff Michael thinks I can handle."

"Um, what is Michael like?" I asked curiously.

"Oh he's strict when he needs to be but he's really kind and he cares about everyone."

"Really?"

"Yeah, he um nevermind."

"What?"

"It's nothing really, just-"

"Lunch is done!" Axel yelled.

"Oh ok! Hey Seto do you want some food?" He quickly shook his head.

"N-No, I-I'm good."

"You sure?" He nodded again. "Ok, I'll be back in a little bit."

"O-Okay." I went to the kitchen and sat down at the table.

"Ty please turn back into yourself," Skyla groaned.

"Ok," Ty said as he changed back.

"Hey we're back." Ryan said walking in.

"Just in time for lunch."

"What is for lunch?" I asked.

"Astrid made it."

"It's called something I don't remember, it's veggies with um meat from my world. It's good trust me, the cooks taught me how to cook it."

"Ok, um where's Ridge?"

"I'm not sure I didn't see him in the backyard when I got back from my world."

"I'm here," Ridge said rushing into the kitchen. He looked like a mess, his hair was all over the place and his face and clothes were dirty.

"Where were you Ridge?" Astrid asked worriedly.

"Um outside," He said uncertainly.

"I didn't see you outside."

"I was outside," He said sitting down. Astrid sighed.

"Okay if you say so, here's your lunch." Ridge was quiet as everyone else started talking. I was a little worried about him to be honest. I didn't even know he went anywhere, I thought he was still with me until Seto pointed it out that he left. I think I just got distracted talking to Seto. I looked at Ridge again then dropped my fork.

"Um Ridge? Your nose is bleeding."

"Wha- Oh shit," He muttered pressing his sleeve to his nose.

"Hey Ridge here use this not your shirt." Astrid said handing him a tissue. He took it and quickly pressed it to his face.

"I um, I'm going to clean this up," He said before quickly leaving.

"What was that about?" Ty asked a bit confused. "It's just a bloody nose."

"It's more than just a bloody nose. Ridge is hiding something, I'm worried with everything that is going on but I'm also kinda worried about Ridge."

"He's not easy to get things out of," Skyla pointed out.

"I can see this. He barely told us what was going on with his uncle."

"Yeah, we don't even have a clue on what's going on now. It could be anything."

"Yeah it could."

"Hey I gotta get going Astrid is in charge." Axel said leaving.

"Where are you going!?" I called out.

"I'm graduating from the academy today, I'll be a police officer starting tomorrow." He said with a smile.

"Hey like my dad," Skyla smiled.

"Yep bye be good!" He called out before closing the door. I sighed and got up.

"I'm going to Ridge's room."

"Okay." I quickly walked down the hall and was about to go into the room when I heard someone talking quietly.

"No that's not what we agreed on... I said no and I don't care what you- I'm not letting that happen." Was that Ridge? I followed the sound of his voice to the bathroom and just listened.

"How much more do you need from me? A few more!? I can't- No that's not- Ok ok, fine just please leave him out of this... I don't care what happens to me but he does not get hurt... You at least owe me that much... Ok thank you, I have to go I'll talk to you later if I can. Oh also your 'friend' gave me a freaking nose bleed... Ok bye." I quickly ducked behind a corner as Ridge came out of the bathroom. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before he headed towards the kitchen.

Who was he talking too? And what was he doing with that person? None of this sounded good to me. I was really worried.
