"So my name is Ryan, this is awkward I would go bother Astrid but she would bite my head off." I said looking over at Skyla.
"Ok, so you're a demon like Astrid?" She asked.
"Yes I am but I only know healing magic. I'm not as strong as Astrid either."
"Ok, so do you like Astrid?"
"You're kidding right, I've known her since we were kids, I was in the slave trade and I worked at the Castle. Then I kinda went crazy and did something stupid and got banished."
"Oh, you still didn't answer my question."
"No I don't like Astrid she's like a younger sister to me."
"That makes sense. So how-" There was a crash outside then something hit the wall outside. "What the hell?"
"It was just Astrid, Vincent threw her against the wall I believe she'll be fine. If I need to heal her she'll come in and start yelling at me."
"Ok, if you say so," She muttered. "So why are you only able to heal?"
"I'm not sure on that. I tried to do other magic but I end up failing."
"What other magic is there?"
"Well there is healing then the four main elements which is fire, earth, wind, and water. Then there is electricity, metal and much more I can't think of. I only learned healing since my mom was a nurse."
"That's neat. I don't really know my mom but my dad's a police officer."
"Cool, yeah I got busted by a cop once. Wasn't my proudest moment. To be-"
"Ryan! Can you heal my arm!?" Astrid yelled stomping in the front room. I looked up at her and her arm was bent the wrong way.
"What the fuck Astrid?"
"Vincent broke it!" I sighed.
"Come here." She walked in front of me and my hands glowed a light blue and her arm was healed. "Astrid you need to start being careful, I know you need to get better for this war but I might not be there to heal you every single time."
"I wasn't trying to make it happen but it was the only way I could get out of the hold he had on me." I sighed and she got up and ran off.
"I swear she's going to learn the hard way one of these days. So reckless." Skyla nodded.
"Yeah I can see that."
"You should've known her when she was younger, I worked with herbs and stuff like that. She was in there every other hour getting healed for something." She giggled.
"I can imagine. I always got hurt somehow and was almost always had a bandage on me somewhere." I laughed. Geez I didn't think that she would be this much fun to talk to.
"Yeah she took training really serious it kinda scared me to be honest one of these days she's going to get killed or close to being killed."
"I always thought about that happening with my dad. Being a cop is risky and sometimes I wonder if he's going to come home sometimes. Guess I've been lucky so far."
"Yeah I'm lucky I was there the last time she was in a war. She got beat up pretty good. That's when she lost her fiance."
"Finance?" Skyla asked curiously.
"Yeah she's royalty so she already was suppose marry someone. When the war started I couldn't save him Astrid wasn't bad but he was worse even surgery didn't help that's how he died. She didn't talk to me for about a month or two cause she blamed me. Which I don't blame her I mean they were a really good couple. Edward was nice Astrid was really into him too. But things happened."
