The Dark Hour

After talking to Ridge, I went back to the room that me and Axel were staying in. I didn't want to leave yet till I know Lalna is good. I walked into the front room and he was sitting on the couch. I sat on his lap and he looked up at me.

"Yes?"

"We need to talk."

"Okay? About what? This isn't a break up is it?" I shook my head.

"No it's about the baby, I'm worried about you. I'm not going to work you up to this. Do you want to be a father?" He sighed and put the book down.

"Astrid, I do want to have this baby with you but, I'm scared."

"Why?"

"Cause I'm scared that I'm going to end up like my dad. I don't want to do that to you guys. I don't want to hurt anyone." I sighed.

"You're not going to hurt anyone me or the baby, I'm going to be here every step of the way Axel. Stop being scared of your dad. You are sweet, kind and you wouldn't hurt a fly. We are going to be okay we will make it through this."

"Astrid it's not that simple, I told you what happened to me. It's not easy starting a family and not thinking that you're not going to turn out like him."

"You're not Axel so stop thinking about it! For crying out loud you became a police officer to protect the people you love! Then why don't you do it now!"

"Astrid I love you and I'm going to protect you, I'm just going to be scared but I'm going to get through this. We are going to so don't worry about me please. Everything will work out."

"Promise me!"

"I promise." He said kissing the top of my head. I sighed nodded. "Look I have to go do something will you be okay here by yourself?"

"Yes I will be fine." I got off of his lap and he stood up and left the room. I groaned and fell backwards on the couch. Soon there was a knock on the door. "Come in!" I said sitting up and looking over the couch. Seto and Ty walked in. "What are you guys doing?"

"We're bored," Ty groaned. Seto giggled.

"Actually we were wondering if you know where Ridge is?"

"He was by the training court place."

"He wasn't there when we looked."

"Maybe he went to Allison's room."

"Allison wouldn't let us in to check, and she said she hasn't seen him either," Ty sighed.

"Then I don't know, I've been in here since I left him alone."

"Ok, just checking," Seto sighed.

"Why are you trying to find Ridge?"

"I think he still has my sword." I nodded.

"Okay did you check his room?"

"We assumed he wasn't there because the lights were off."

"And I broke in and he wasn't there," Ty said casually.

"Hmm, I don't know where he would be."

"Ok, well we'll keep looking," Seto sighed.

"Okay have fun, don't get into any fights."

"We won't," Ty smiled.

"Okay." They left and I laid down on the couch.

There was a tap on my shoulder, I guess I fell asleep. I looked up and it was Ryan and Skyla.

"What are you guys doing in here?" Skyla looked at Ryan.

"Well I wanted to see how you were doing?"

"I'm fine just tired a lot."

"We can see that," Skyla smiled. I smiled back.

"Have you guys seen Axel? He left a few hours ago but he hasn't shown up."

"I don't think so." I nodded.

"Okay well I didn't know."

"Is everything okay between you two?"

"Yes we talked about the whole family situation and he said that he had to go do something."

"Do what exactly?" Skyla asked.

"I don't know he didn't really tell me."

"Ok," Skyla sighed.

"But anyways how was the date?"

"It was good."

"Oh Ryan leave!" I shouted. He jumped and slowly left. "I have to tell you something Sky."

"What is it?" She asked a bit nervously.

"The name for you in Ryan's phone is 'My Princess' just saying."

"Really?" She asked blushing.

"Yep it is I walked in on him when he was texting you."

"He's a dork."

"He will always be a dork." Skyla nodded and got out her phone. "Let me guess you're changing his name."

"Yep."

"What are you changing it to?"

"It's a secret."

"Okay fine, another thing would you want to be the godmother?"

"The what?" She asked looking at me surprise.

"Well since Ridge is the godfather, I thought that you would want to be the godmother." She smiled.

"Yeah that would be awesome!"

"Okay good I was scared that you would say no." I said laughing. "You know what sounds good. Honey hot tea." I said standing up.

"Wow, you and Ryan both like that."

"Yeah he is the one that introduced it to me. It's really good."

"Well ok then," She smiled. I walked into the kitchen and heated the water. I wonder what Axel is doing. I sighed and the door opened I turned and saw Ryan walk in.

"Hey fatty." I said walking in the front room.

"Me you're the fat one!"

"Hey don't be rude!" Skyla snapped.

"She started it!"

"I'm pregnant! I'm not fat!"

"Knock it off you two!" She growled. "I will start flipping shite." Ryan quickly pulled out his phone.

"What is that Lalna? Oh yes I will be right there." He put his phone away and ran out of the room.

"I think he is scared of you."

"Most of the kids in my school are," She sighed sitting down.

"Yeah I don't think you're scary. I'm going to check on the tea. I said walking in the kitchen. I got the cups down and went back to Skyla, and sat down.
