"Okay Ida I'm here you can come out!" I called out to her, soon a there was a little person fluttering in front of me.
"Good you could make it." She said sassy.
"Hey don't forget you're a Imp I can easily blow you away."
"Yeah yeah yeah but I have information on Axel's dad, he's a Jinn."
"A Jinn?"
"Yes so that might not even be his real form. I'm not sure what he is after but his friend Aaron is the one that bailed him out and you know Aaron he has money."
"Yeah sadly I do. He is part of the gang."
"Not just the gang he moved up Ryan, he's the mastermind behind everything the demon gangs are doing."
"He's also the one that abandoned me and my mother and sold us to slavery. I can't believe he's working with a Jinn. What all can we do?"
"I'm not sure but I'll let you know when I know more."
"Thank you Ida."
"Yeah no problem." She left and so did I. I went back to mine and Skyla's room and I smelled something really good. Is Skyla here?
"Sky?" I called out kicking off my shoes.
"Hey Ryan! I'm in the kitchen!" She called out. "I'm making this thing that I got off the internet." I walked into the kitchen and Sky was looking at a small note card.
"Okay what is it? It smells really good." I said with a smile.
"Um I think it's called a flan. It's a sort of spanish sponge cake with caramel dressing. You might be smelling the caramel sauce I'm making." I nodded.
"Sorry I disappeared like that this morning, I had to meet up with a friend. She has some information on Axel's dad."
"Oh well I got bored and decided to try and make something. I found this and wanted to try it."
"Okay, how do you know it's any good?"
"I don't, that's why I'm trying it."
"Okay whatever floats your boat." I said getting in the fridge. I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. There's way too much pressure on me right now. Trying to find the cure and making sure that Axel's dad doesn't try anything stupid.
"You ok?" SKyla asked stirring something.
"I don't know, just feeling a little stressed out with everything that is going on."
"That's not good. What's making you the most stressed?"
"Mainly the cure for Lalna, I know Ridge doesn't want me to keep giving him the shot that freezes the sickness but there isn't much I can do right now with it."
"Ok, well you have the sickness under control right? He's feeling ok and not in as much pain as he was without it right?"
"Yeah but it just stops it after 48 hours it comes back." I sighed. "I just wish angels made it a lot easier to read their handwriting."
"Why don't you ask an angel to help you then?"
"Really an angel helping a demon, I barely like being around them. Lalna is different though he's an okay angel."
"What about Seto? You can ask him."
"Yeah but I can't find him, he isn't in Ty's room so he might be busy with something."
"Ok, well that's all the angels I know. Maybe you could start making friends with some of them." I sighed.
"Maybe I don't know." I opened the bottle of pop. "Angels are difficult."
"Seto and Lalna aren't so I doubt they all are difficult."
"Maybe Hannah will help."
"Hannah?" Skyla asked curiously.
"A girl that works in the lab."
"Oh ok, is she an angel?"
"Yes."
"Great! She can help you and make things easier."
"You seem too happy about that." I sniffed the air and looked at the pot. "Honey I think you're burning it."
"No I'm not, and if Hannah can help it's a good thing right?" She asked turning off the stove.
"I'm not sure, I mean she's always working on something that might explode."
"Oh, well I'm sure she can find time to help you with something that won't explode."
"Maybe, but I'm taking a small break I'll probably look through the books some."
"Ok, I'm almost done with this." I looked at what she was cooking and it looked really weird.
"It looks weird."
"I might have done this wrong."
"Is it suppose to look like that." I said snickering some.
"Um, maybe?" I started to laugh, I couldn't really hold it in anymore. Skyla playfully hit my arm.
"What was that for?" I asked holding my arm like I was hurt.
"I was really trying here," She pouted.
"You'll get it I know you will." I said with a smile.
"I'm not good as this."
"It just takes practice. Here let me try it." I said getting a spoon.
"Ok, I won't blame you if you spit it out." I shrugged and tasted some. I felt a smile creep on my face.
"This is really good Skyla!"
"It is?" She asked shocked. I nodded and took another bite.
"Wow it's amazing!"
"I didn't fail!" She yelled excitedly. "I did something right!" I laughed at how happy she was about getting something right. I took another bite.
"You should cook like this more often."
"I will as long as it's good," She smirked. I smiled and nodded.
"Good I would love to eat more of you're cooking, it's much better than mine."
"Well I took classes at school. Everything I know about cooking is from that class."
"Yeah I kinda just wing it, no one really taught me how to cook."
"Yeah, well I have done everything I wanted. I'm taking a nap." I nodded.
"Okay, I'm going to start looking at these books. Sweet dreams." I said walking into the front room. I sat down and started to look through the books.
