The Dark Hour

I groaned and picked up my phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Astrid, um we have a problem at the base," Ridge said quickly. I sighed and got up and put him on speaker and grabbed clothes.

"What's wrong?"

"Well these two angels attacked the base and they took Castiel and Layla."

"What?" I shouted some. I looked back to make sure that I didn't wake up Axel. "Meet me at the gate."

"Ok, should I get Ryan and Skyla?"

"Yes bring them we might need Ryan since he can heal."

"Ok, well um- I'll tell you later, bye."

"Okay." I quickly hung up and left a note for Axel and grabbed my father's sword and ran out of the room and found Vincent. "You're coming with me."

"What? Why?" He said quickly following me.

"Reasons, I'm not totally sure." We made our way to the front gates where Ridge and them already there. "So what's all going on?" Skyla shrugged and Ridge sighed.

"These two angel's broke in and they started going after Castiel. I watched Valerie knock one of them out and Lalna saw the second force something into Cas's mouth and Cas was gone."

"Lalna did you see what it looked like."

"Um it looked a like a peppermint," He said softly. I nodded, they brought them back here, probably in a different hide out then before.

"Okay so they brought them back here, but they would be at a different hide out then the one before. Did they take anyone else other than Cas we should be looking for?"

"Layla, she's an earth elemental," Ridge said quickly.

"If that's all we should get going. Ryan do you have any other idea's where your dad will be hiding out."

"Um when I was younger he would talk to my mother about an abandoned place he had a few towns over, it will take awhile to get there. I just hope we have enough time. Skyla are you sure you want to come with us?" He asked looking at her.

"Yeah, I'll be fine," She said confidently.

"Then we should get going." I nodded and we started to follow Ryan, I hope Axel doesn't get mad at me for leaving like this.

I looked up at the sky and it was filled with blood red, orange and some purple. We should stop soon to make camp and when we reach the first town to refill on things we need.

"We should make camp soon."

"Ok, um I got some snacks," Lalna said taking off his backpack. I nodded.

"We can refill with food and drinks in the next town." Vincent spoke up.

"I can get medical kits and things that we might need for Layla and Cas if they got hurt." Ryan said stopping. "This should be a good spot for a camp."

"Can we have a campfire?" Skyla asked.

"No." I said in a joking tone. I got hit on top of my head.

"Astrid this is no time for jokes. I'll get some firewood, Ridge will you help?" Vincent asked. He nodded.

"Yeah, I'll help." They walked off and I cleared a spot for the fire pit.

"I'll take the first shift of guard duty. Why don't you guys eat something and try to get some rest."

"Astrid are you sure? I can take the first shift." Ryan said worriedly. I shook my head.
