I woke up feeling hot. Actually really hot. I was sweating. I sat up and sniffled.

"Lalna I need a bowl of cold water he has a fever!" Astrid said quickly. "Ridge you need to lay down."

"Why?" I asked confused.

"You have a fever and we need to break it."

"I do?" I asked as she made me lay down.

"Yes, I'm going to get some medicine." She said covering me up and walking into the kitchen. Lalna came in and sat down on the floor besides me.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked softly.

"Hot," I sniffled.

"Well you do have a fever." Astrid walked back in with a cup of water and two white pills.

"Here take these." I sat up and took the pills quickly.

"What was that?" I asked as I laid back down.

"It should help with the fever." She said placing a rag on my head.

"Where's Axel?" I asked feeling a little dizzy.

"He's at work."

"I feel dizzy."

"It's just cause you have a fever I felt the same way. Do you want me to call Axel?" I nodded and sniffled.

"Yeah."

"I'll call him Lalna make sure he doesn't get up." She said grabbing her phone and walking outside. I groaned and hiccupped.

"Ridge, it's going to be ok."

"I don't feel ok."

"Um do you want a drink to help you cool down a bit?" I nodded. "Ok, I'll be right back. Please don't get up."

"Ok." He went to the kitchen and I sniffled. I pushed the blanket Astrid put on me off and rolled over on to my side.

"Really Ridge." Astrid said walking in. She recovered me up. "You need to stay covered up to break the fever Axel will tell you the same thing."

"But it's too hot," I whined.

"Cause you're running a fever, that's why." She said changing out the rag. Lalna came back with ice water.

"Is he ok?" He asked setting it down on the table.

"He's running a high fever, we just need to keep an eye on him." Lalna nodded.

"Ok, I got him some water."

"Okay, I don't know if we can sit him up without him being dizzy."

"I can get up," I mumbled trying to sit up. I got really dizzy but I was sitting up. Astrid handed me the cup.

"Axel is on his way home." I took a drink and the cold water kinda burned my throat. I handed the cup back to her then I sneezed, and fell off the couch.

"Ridge!" Lalna said worried.

"Oh my god!" Astrid shouted helping me up. I blinked then sniffled and rubbed my eyes.

"My head hurts," I slurred.

"Well you just fell off of the couch." My eyes started watering and I hiccupped. Astrid got the rag off the ground and got it wet.

"Hey I'm home, how long has he been like this Lalna?"

"Almost an hour."

"Okay what hall have you guys given him?"

"I don't know, Astrid got it." I hiccupped again and pushed the blanket off of me again.

"Ridge if you have a fever you need to stay covered."

"It's too hot," I whined. "I don't like it."

"I don't care you need to break it." My eyes started watering again and I sniffled.

"You're home, I gave him some cold medicine and some fever medicine."

"Okay. Ridge I asked you if you needed to stay home."

"I felt fine," I mumbled.

"When did you start feeling worse than you were this morning?"

"After I woke up from a nap I took after school." He nodded.

"Okay so it's probably just a cold but if you feel bad tomorrow I'm going to make an appointment." I nodded and sniffled.

"Ok," I muttered.

"But right now you're not going to school tomorrow. Try to get some more sleep." I nodded and laid down. I hiccupped again and rubbed my eyes.

"I also think it's kinda my fault."

"How?"

"My magic kinda got to my emotions and I accidentally made it snow."

"Try not to do it again."

"Okay." Lalna sighed and rubbed my shoulder.

"I think you should lay down in a bed," He said softly. I nodded and Lalna helped me up. He gently took my hand and lead me to my room. I laid down and Lalna smiled at me.

"Try and get some sleep. I'll wake you up when it's dinner time." I nodded and rubbed my eyes.

"Ok." He left the room and I sniffled and closed my eyes. I hope this was just a cold.
