The Dark Hour

*1 week later*

I groaned when I heard shouting coming from the front room. I sat up and noticed that Axel was still in bed, Vincent was on the floor but Ryan wasn't. If he was up who is he fighting with? I looked at the alarm clock and it was only six in the fucking morning. I'm going to kill both of them. I got up and went to the front room and saw that there were two Ryans. They both were yelling at each other.

"I'm too tired for this shit."

"Would you stop being a big baby!" One Ryan yelled.

"Would you stop being so annoying!" The other one yelled. What the fuck?

"What the hell is your problem? You have been annoying since last week!"

"Not as much as you've been!"

"Me! You just changed into me! How am I being the annoying one! Everytime I try to talk to Skyla you are right there being a baby!" The other Ryan changed into Skyla and crossed her arms.

"There is that better?" She said mockingly.

"No it's not!" I growled.

"Hey! Both of you knock it off right now do any of you know what fucking day it is! Ryan you should fucking know. Now would you two stop being big ass babies. Ryan for crying out loud if you like Skyla just fucking tell her. For once I thought that I would have a decent 18th birthday!" I shouted. Ty quickly changed back into himself and pointed at Ryan.

"He started it."

"I don't care who fucking started it I'm sick and tired you two belly aching about every little thing. I'm pissed and not in the mood. There is too much pressure now soon we will be in war and I need your full attention Ryan so tell Skyla that you like her and get the fuck over it!"

"I did not you did!" Ryan shouted. "I would tell Skyla if I could get alone time with her without this brat getting in the damn way!"

"Sorry, but I was told to stay with her."

"You don't have to be by her damn side all the damn time!"

"Well I don't want you to kill me!"

"I won't kill you!"

"Both of you shut the fuck up!" I yelled. I growled and ran my hands through my hair. "You both are fucking annoying I will kill you both right now if you don't stop!"

"S-Sorry Astrid." Ryan said a little quiet.

"Sorry," Ty squeaked.

"To be honest I thought that I was going to have a good birthday." There was a knock on the door. I groaned and walked over to the front door and answered it. "Oh hey Skyla." I said with a sigh. "What are you doing here this early?"

"Ty called me."

"Really? This early never mind Ryan has something he wants to tell you." I said walking in the front room. I looked at Ryan and he started to blush.

"What is it?" She asked curiously.

"I uh...um...." He didn't even get a word out. I sighed.

"Just spit it out already or I'm going to tell her."

"Ugg I don't know how to say it I never did something like this before! Did you forget that I was your nurse I wasn't really around other girls!?"

"For crying out loud. Skyla Ryan likes you he's just too big of a baby to say anything to you." Skyla blinked.

"Umm..." I sighed and Ryan just stood there like an idiot blushing.

"S-Sorry I didn't want it to come out like that."

"I um-"

"What's going on here?" Skyla looked at the hallway and Lalna was leaning against the wall.

"Sorry Lalna did we wake you up?" I asked looked at him. He nodded.

"Everyone was yelling."

"Sorry Lalna that was mainly me, yelling at them to stop belly aching cause I hate it when people wake me up early on my birthday we'll be quiet from now on try to go back to bed." He nodded then went back to Ridge's room. "Okay now let's get this elephant out of the room."

"I do like you Skyla I understand if you don't like me back, I've been meaning to tell you but I couldn't get you alone to tell you." She nodded then opened her mouth then closed it then sighed.

"I'm going to go back to sleep on the couch," She said quickly before she swiftly walked off.

I was sitting on the back porch practicing my metal magic. Vincent and Ryan went out, Skyla was still asleep on the couch and Ty fell back to sleep. So I was the only one up. For some reason I couldn't get the hang on this. I jumped when someone put there hands over my eyes.

"What the?!"

"Sorry birthday girl." I looked up and it was Axel. I smiled.

"Hey, sorry I'm not use to that."

"It's okay, here." He handed me a small bag. I smiled. "Aww look your horns are coming it." I laughed.

"Yeah but it hurts like hells, you try having horns grow out of your head."

"I think I'm good love." He laughed and rubbed the top of my head. I opened the box that he handed me and I opened it. It was a gold necklace with a heart charm hooked on to it. I smiled.

"Thank you Axel." I said putting it on.

"Anything for my girl. You're officially eighteen and you are just getting started as an adult." I laughed.

"If I was still in my world I would be getting crowned as Queen so I'm kind glad that I'm here." He smiled and pulled me into a hug, he was getting ready to kiss me till the door opened he pulled away and Skyla sat down beside us. "Are you okay Skyla?" She nodded and just looked at the ground.

"Are you thinking about what Ryan said?" She nodded again. "Yeah I guess I would be taken by surprise too."

"Wait what?" I sighed.

"I'll tell you later." Skyla got up and went back inside. "Ryan said that he liked her."

"Oh that's why she is acting all weird." I nodded. I sighed and looked up at the sky. I kinda wish this war wasn't going to happen. Maybe if I never left in the first place none of this would of happened. I groaned and placed my head on my knees.

"Something wrong?"

"Just this war I'm worried about it because of what happened last time."

"What happened last time?" I sighed I need to tell him or I probably will never move on.

Damn it how long is this going to go on. I looked around and all I saw was fire and dead bodies. I stood up hurting like hell. I didn't see Edward.

"Edward!" I yelled. I started to walk around and I finally found him. My eyes grew wide, he was laying on the ground barely breathing. I got on the ground by him and placed his head in my lap. Tears were clouding my vision. "E-Edward please stay with me." He opened his eyes a bit. I smiled. His blue eyes that were once bright were dull. He smiled.

"I'll be fine Astrid, after this will get married and be happy. I love you."

"I love you too."

"It was a tough call that Ryan had to make. Ryan said that by the time they found us Edward was about dead and I wasn't that far but he saved me. I blamed him for saving me and not saving Edward. I was angry and sad but I knew Edward since I was five and fell for him everyday since then." Axel nodded.

"I can see why that would be a touchy subject, I'm sorry that this happened to you but I promise I'm not going anywhere Astrid. I like you too much." He said kissing me on the nose. I giggled and wiggled my nose since it felt weird.
