The Dark Hour

"Skyla can you keep me updated on Lalna?" I asked worriedly. I wanted to stay for Lalna but with other kingdoms closing in I can't risk being here any longer than I have. She nodded.

"Yeah I will."

"Thank you Skyla." I grabbed Axel's hand and went through the portal, I about fell over but Axel caught me. I shook my head and we were right outside of the town's limit. It's been awhile since I've been back home. I walked through and people stopped what they were doing and cheered. What the fuck?

"Princess! You're home!" I smiled and shook hands with some people.

"I'm here to stay and help rebuild some of the town if needed." I talked to a few before I made it to the castle. Soon I was surrounded by my maids and Vincent showed up.

"Princess nice to see you home, Prince Axel."

"Wait what?" He asked confused.

"Princess did you not tell him." I giggled and shook my head.

"I haven't had the chance to yet Vincent. I will explain to him later."

"As you wish, but some of the castle is already being rebuild from when it was invaded. I hired new help for the castle, I hope you don't mind." I shook my head.

"No I don't mind I put you in charged to make sure everything is going smoothly Vincent." I sighed and walked around for a bit, it felt so weird being back here.

"Princess there is a king and queen waiting for you in your father's old studies." I nodded.

"Thank you Vincent, can you please show Axel around so he won't get lost." He bowed and I walked up the stairs and made it to my father's studies. I placed my hand on the knob and just stood there for a while. I've never been in here, I was never allowed to be in my father's studies, now it's mine it's going to feel so weird. I opened the door and cleared my throat since they were snooping around the office.

"May I help you?"

"I'm Queen Amber and this is my husband King Tyler, we are here on official business with Princess Astrid. Go fetch her."

"Excuse you, I'm Princess Astrid the person you are here to see." They looked at each other and laughed.

"Yeah sure you are." I shook my head.

"I'm King's Aaron's one and only daughter why are you here? You either tell me or you can leave." Amber soon started to talk. They wanted me as an ally. I nodded. "Okay, I think I understand thank you for coming." They bowed and left. I sighed and my phone went off I looked to see who was calling and it was Skyla.

"Hey Sky."

"Hey Astrid, so they figured out what was wrong with Lalna. He has angel sickness. Every angel is staying away from him and I guess humans and demons can't get it so we're taking care of him."

"Okay, is he going to make it? Ryan should know what to do. Do you guys need any more help?" I asked freaking out some.

"Well I'm not sure. His fever keeps going up and if it doesn't stop... I'm sure we'll be ok."

"If you need help I'll be right there in the matter of seconds."

"Ok, I'll call if he gets worse. So far we're just trying to handle the fever, maybe next we'll try to wake him up."

"Okay thanks for calling Sky."

"No problem, I'll leave you alone now. Bye."

"Bye." I hung up and left the office and walked around trying to find Axel. I found them outside, I looked to see what they were looking at and it was the whole in the side. I sighed.

"Hey Axel they found out what was wrong with Lalna." Axel looked at me.

"What is it?"

"Angel sickness, humans and demons can't get it. Skyla called I told her that if they need help that she would call us." He nodded.

"Okay I hope he will pull through." I nodded and sighed.

"Vincent why don't they just use magic to repair it?"

"I don't know last time I asked them why they weren't using magic they yelled at me and told me to leave them alone."

"Okay, but I would think magic would be much better to use but that's just me. How's the town doing?"

"We got most of the rubble picked up people lost their homes and jobs but they are slowly rebuilding like how we are here."

"Thanks good I'm glad that they just haven't gave up hope yet."

"Hey Astrid! Wake up!" I groaned and opened my eyes, I looked around and I was in Axel's arms.

"What happened?"

"I'm not sure you were just talking then you just passed out." Axel slowly sat me up. "Are you okay now?"

"I think so sorry."

"It's not your fault I called Ryan he said that it happens sometimes when you're pregnant." I nodded. Axel helped me stand up and I bit my bottom lip.

"I'm going to get a bath." I said walking off. I got a dress that was in my old room and under garments and went to the bathroom.
