The Dark Hour

Ok, I could do this. No, I can do this. I sighed and walked out into the training yard. Seto was training with the other angels. When they heard he helped take down Sabbath they were really impressed. They stopped teasing him as much as they used to and he started making friends I was happy for him but I was also kinda worried. Some of the girls were flirting with him and even though he brushed them off it still got on my nerves.

"Ok," I whispered to myself. "Just walk up to him and ask him if he has time to talk. It's simple." I walked closer to the arena and I was going to call out his name when I saw Jace and his gang. I hid in the crowd and watched them. They were watching Seto.

"Hey Jace, bet you could kick this pipsqueak's butt," One of them smiled.

"Not now, he's too fast. Maybe if we slow him down first."

"How are we going to do that?"

"He uses his wings to move fast. Get rid of those and he'll be an easy target." I covered my mouth. They weren't really thinking about doing that were they? They can't just get rid of his wings.

"How are we going to get the wings out of the picture?"

"Seal them. I know a guy that will do it. Just got to catch him when he'll least expect it." I quickly moved through the crowd and to as close to Seto as I could get. I watched as he disarmed his opponent then stick the top of his sword the girl's neck.

"Checkmate," Seto smiled. Everyone clapped and Seto put his sword away. I quickly ran up to him and he looked at me.

"Ty, what are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you, it won't take long and it's urgent." He nodded then took my wrist and I blushed the whole way there. We went into my room and Seto looked at me.

"What is it?"

"I-I um I heard from Jace that he was going to try and seal your wings. S-So he had an advantage in fighting you."

"You were talking to Jace?" Seto asked confused.

"NO! No no, I just heard him talking about it. I-I don't even like being around him," I said quickly. He nodded.

"Ok, I'll watch out for him." He smiled at me. "Thanks for the heads up." I smiled back at him.

"No problem." I let him out and I sighed as he walked away.

"Do I need to get Astrid here so she can help you ask out Seto?" I jumped and turned around. Ryan was standing there smirking at me.

"W-What?" I asked trying to look confused. "What makes you think that I like Seto?"

"Cause I acted that way around Skyla when I liked her." I blushed and looked down.

"Is it that obvious?"

"Yeah it kinda is."

"I-I don't know how to tell him."

"Well you can start by getting him alone and telling him how you feel."

"I-I have a hard time just talking to him. How am I going to tell him anything?"

"Well you have to work up the courage to talk to him."

"How? I'm just going to trip over my words and just embarrass myself."

"Think about what you're going to say first and if you still have trouble talk to Astrid. I mean she was why me and Sky got together." I nodded.

"Ok."

"I gotta go see ya later Ty."

"Bye," I said softly as he walked away. I wanted to tell him but I was scared he would push me away or not talk to me anymore if I did. I went back into my room and laid down on the couch. How was I going to do this?

Someone was frantically knocking at my door and I sighed. I got up and opened it, only to have someone run into me. I yelped as I hit the ground. I heard the door shut and I looked up to see Seto locking it.

"Seto? What are you doing?" I asked confused. He pressed his back to the door and I was shocked to see him crying.

"I-I-" He wiped his eyes and I quickly got up.

"Hey, it's ok. Just slow down and breathe, ok?" He nodded and took a deep breath then slowly let it out. "Now what's wrong?"

"J-Jace and his fr-friends, they-they tried to-to..." He shook his head and I quickly pulled him into a hug. He buried his face in my shoulder and I gently rubbed his back.

"It's ok, you're safe here. They can't get you here," I said softly. He nodded and sniffled. "You got away from them right?" He nodded.

"Th-They ganged up on me," He said quietly. "I kicked Jace's kneecap and while they were distracted I ran. I didn't know where to go so I just came here." I nodded.

"Ok, did any of them follow you?"

"I don't think so."

"Ok, how about I get you some tea or something? We can just relax for a bit, maybe watch a movie." He nodded.

"Ok, I'd be fine with that." I smiled softly and let Seto go. He went and sat down on the couch while I looked through the cabinets for any tea.

"What kind of tea do you like?" I asked.

"Um mint," He said softly.

"Ok." I found a large box of assorted tea bags and found one that said mint. I got some water boiling and poured it in a mug before putting the tea bag in it. I stirred it a bit then took it over to Seto.

"Here you go. I don't know if it's any good."

"I'm sure it's fine," He smiled softly. I smiled then sat down.

"So what kind of movies do you like?" I asked turning on Netflix.

"Um I've only seen one movie," He said quietly.

"What? Really?" I asked surprised. He nodded.

"Ok let me show you one of my favorite movies, I think you'll like it." I searched up the movie and Seto looked at me curiously.

"Mulan?"

"It's good trust me. It's kinda funny but it has a good story line, for a cartoon." He nodded.

"Ok." I started the movie then quickly ran to my room and got a blanket. I went back and sat back down and Seto looked at me.

"What? It gets cold in here sometimes." He smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, kinda." He set his cup on the coffee table and got under the blanket with me. I smiled and we quietly watched the movie.

We were mostly through the movie and Seto was starting to doze off a bit.

"You ok Seto?" I asked quietly. He nodded, then laid his head on my shoulder. I tried to relax but my mind was starting to go a million miles per hour. Why was his head on my shoulder? Was it because he was just tired or was it something else? Did he do this on purpose or was he just really tired?

I decided to move a bit to see if he would move or not. I turned so I was facing him and he just kept his head on my shoulder. I laid back and he moved up so he was laying on me. I looked at him and he looked completely calm. I sighed and looked back at the movie. Seto yawned and closed his eyes. I smiled and gently rubbed his back. He groaned softly and loosely wrapped his arms around me. I sighed softly and just rubbed small circles into his back. I wasn't sure if he was just tired or if this meant something but for now I was just going to enjoy it.
