The Dark Hour

"Look dad I've had my fair share of angels, demons, and other nonhumans. I didn't tell you that my girlfriend is pregnant. So tell me what are you?"

"Well you figured it out, didn't you, but you didn't figure out the other thing."

"What other thing?"

"I'm a demon but I'm not your real father."

"What?"

"I'm not your real dad I'm your stepdad, you are full on human just like your mother and sister."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Cause I know you hate me cause what happened."

"Yeah you're right I do hate you and now this just makes me want to be more of a better father than you."

"Is this why you came here? To confront me about this to make yourself better at being a father." I nodded.

"Yeah and now I'm going to be a better father to my kid than you were with me and my sister." I said standing up and walking away.

I walked through the door and I was tackled to the floor. I looked up and saw Astrid. I believe that she was crying.

"Uh honey are you okay?" She shook her head. "What's wrong?"

"N-Nothing."

"Then why are you crying?"

"I called R-Ryan he said that it was just my hormones." I sighed.

"Do you want some ice cream?" I asked sitting up and getting her in my lap. She wiped her eyes and nodded.

"Yes, I would like some." I smiled and nodded.

"Well you're going to have to get up."

"I don't wanna." She mumbled into my shoulder. I sighed, I got an arm around her back and the other under her legs. My knees popped when I went to stand up. I got her sat on the couch and she wouldn't let go. I laughed some.

"Honey if you want me to get you some ice cream you're going to have to let go."

"No!"

"Well then no ice cream." She sighed.

"Fine." She mumbled. She finally let go and I went to the kitchen. I got some ice cream in a bowl and went back to Astrid.

"Hey I got-" I stopped when I realized that she fallen asleep. I smiled and put the bowl up and grabbed her and laid her down on the bed. She groaned and rolled over, I covered her up and laid down beside her.

"Astrid would you please just calm down."

"No! Your dad is out on bail Axel! He could hurt you! Or me!"

"He won't, we aren't even on earth Astrid. Plus he isn't my real dad or human!"

"Not human!"

"That's how he knew you were pregnant, and he's my stepdad."

"Skyla please tell me that he is being way too calm about this!"

"I'm not getting in this," She said backing up.

"Astrid I understand that you're freaking out but you are going to be fine."

"Why aren't you freaking out about this?!" She groaned. "You know what just forget about it I'm going home I need to clear my head about everything." She said leaving the room.

"Am I wrong for not freaking out?"

"I don't know," Skyla sighed. "I'm going to go find Ridge, I don't think he's going insane yet." I nodded and she left too. I sighed and sat on the couch am I wrong for not freaking out about my dad? I'll give her some space before I try to talk to her again.
