The Dark Hour

*Wednesday*

"Ridge I told you that I'm feeling much better. Allison even said that I can get out of bed." I said getting a bowl of cereal.

"I'm still worried though," He sighed.

"I'm fine she said as long as I'm taking my medicine I should be fine. You worry too much."

"There's a reason for that," He mumbled. I sighed and Axel came into the kitchen.

"Are you guys ready for school?" Ridge nodded.

"Yeah, I think Lalna's in the bathroom though."

"Okay, I'll wait for him. Astrid are you ready?"

"For what?" I asked confused.

"I'm enrolling you today. You're like what seventeen? Eighteen?"

"If I was eighteen I would have horns growing out of my head. I'm only seventeen."

"So you will be a junior. Am I right Ridge?"

"Yeah, but it depends on her intelligence or IQ. She could be put into the senior class."

"My GPA is 4.1." I said washing my bowl.

"I think she'll be in my class."

"Okay uh do you think she can get the same classes as you? I don't want her by herself."

"I think she could get some of the same classes I take but not all of them since I am taking one advanced class. Lalna might be in some of her classes since he's taking some junior level classes."

"Okay he's a smart kid. Woah we're going to be late. Lalna are you ready?" Axel called out getting his keys. Lalna ran down the hall and crashed into Ridge.

"Sorry, my nose was bleeding again and I was trying to fix it. Are we leaving now?"

"Yeah, do you have your necklace?" I asked slipping my boots on and tucking my skinny jeans. He nodded.

"Yeah, I don't really take it off that much."

"Okay." We all got into Axel's car and after a while we made it to a building. "Woah it's huge!" I said in amazement.

"Yeah, it's the high school and middle school in one."

"I've never seen so many people. Sorry if I'm acting a little kiddish, I've been homeschooled all my life."

"It's ok," Lalna smiled. "My mom did that for me during elementary school."

"So I'll be a senior." I mumbled.

"Well if you're GPA is 4.1 then yes you will be in some classes with Ridge and maybe with Lalna so you will have some people that you know." I nodded.

"Okay." Axel parked the car and we all got out, we walked up to the building and Ridge and Lalna went there way while we went to the office.

I flopped down on the couch and looked at Axel.

"So I start school in two days."

"Yes, okay I have to get to training will you be okay here by yourself?" I nodded.

"Yeah I think I have a hang of the human world."

"Okay and don't let anyone in the house. Keep the door locked, I'll be picking up Ridge and Lalna after school, Skyla might be by after homework." I nodded. He grabbed a bag of clothes and left the house. I looked around and didn't know what to do so I popped in a movie till Ridge and Lalna got home. I yawned and curled up in a ball on the couch and fell asleep in the middle of the movie.
