The Dark Hour

After a few minutes after Ryan came back with two vials, I was going to use one for the test run and use the other one if it works. I mixed them with the other ingredients that I had. Now I just need to get some of Lalna's blood. I grabbed a vial and a needle, and headed to Allison's room. I knocked on the door and walked in.

"Is Lalna awake?" I asked Skyla since I saw her in the kitchen.

"Yeah, him and Ridge are watching a movie. Why?" She asked a bit excitedly.

"You're happy about something."

"It's nothing," She said quickly. I smiled and shook my head.

"Sure." I said walking into the front room. I leaned over the back of the couch. "Hey Lalna can I steal some of your blood?" He jumped and Ridge looked at me.

"Why do you need his blood?" Ridge asked a bit concerned.

"To make sure what I made up will kill off this illness, I'm not going to put it in his body and have it harm him. I'm not going to make that mistake again." Lalna sighed and nodded.

"Ok, j-just make it quick. I don't like needles." I nodded and walked around and sat down beside Lalna and he stuck out his arm. I quickly stuck the needle in and he flinched, after a few minutes the vial was filled. I took the needle out and place a band aid where the hole was.

"Thanks Lalna." He nodded.

"No problem," He said softly. I quickly got back to the lab.

I screamed in excitement and it woke Ryan up who was sitting beside me sleeping and it made Hannah jump.

"Ryan! Look at Lalna's blood!" He quickly got up and looked through the microscope. He gasped.

"What?! Astrid either you found something that will just neutralize it for a while or you found the cure." I nodded.

"Yeah they left hints in the writing I guess no one else noticed!" Hannah quickly walked over to us. "Sorry was I too loud?"

"No no I just- Lalna? As in Michael's kid?" She asked.

"Yeah he's my friend the one that I was helping." She nodded.

"I've heard Michael talk about him. He just went on about how he wanted to see him and how it wasn't really fair to him that he wasn't there. It was annoying but I didn't disagree with him. Do you think I can meet him? Just to see him, I've always been a little curious about him."

"Um I guess but I have to make another vial of this before I go see him again." She nodded.

"Ok I understand. Just tell me before you leave, I'll be working over here." I nodded and grabbed everything that I used before and mixed it all together. I did the same thing that I did last time. I grabbed the bottle and needle.

"Come on you guys!" I yelled running out of the lab and to Allison's room, Hannah and Ryan were behind me. We walked in, Skyla and Allison were talking. "I did it you guys." I said with a smile. "I'm not sure if it's a cure or if it neutralizes the illness so I can do more research to find the cure."

"If it just helps more than what I've been doing then go for it," Allison sighed. "I just want him to feel better." I nodded and walked into the front room and sat down beside Lalna.

"Lalna can I have your arm please." He sighed and held his arm out. I got the liquid in the needle and stuck it in his arm, he flinched once again and I got the liquid in his body. I took it out and sighed.

"You should be feeling better in a couple of hours maybe a day or so." He nodded.

"Ok."

"Oh wow," Hannah gasped. "Um sorry, I just- I wasn't expecting this. Um Michael's a bit, how to say this, on the big side. I thought his son would share the same trait."

"Hannah!" I shouted a bit. She blinked.

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound like a bad thing. It's not really, I mean sometimes things don't turn out like you think they might but it might be for the best or err... I'll just be quiet." Lalna laughed a little.

"Um I don't think we've met," He said softly.

"Oh right, I'm Hannah. I work with your dad, Michael. I've heard a lot about you from him." Lalna blushed and nodded.

"I'm Lalna but you know that." She smiled.

"Yeah, I just wanted to meet you. Michael's ramblings made me curious." I laughed some.

"I'm going to see how Ty is doing with his wings, Ryan keep an eye on him and if he changes call me." He nodded. I walked out of the room and walked outside, I'm sure he would be outside using his wings. I walked out there and soon heard yelling. What the hell? I followed the yelling and it was in the training yard. I made my way to the front and there was a big angel then Ty.

"Ty! What are you doing?!" I yelled so he could try to hear me.

"Uh?" He asked looking at me.

"Hey pipsqueak!" Ty turned back around then quickly put his arms up as the big angel hit him. He slid across the floor and quickly tried to get up.

"What the hell?!" Before I knew it I was between the guy and Ty. "What's your problem!?" I yelled at him.

"Oh great," He groaned. "Just get out of here, I'm tired of people just getting in my way."

"Why don't you make me jackass!" I snapped. Before he could say anything he went flying into the wall. A lot of people gasped and some ran over to him. "What the hell?" I said a bit dumb founded.

"Hey watch it," Someone snapped. I heard someone running. I shook my head and turned around to Ty, but he wasn't there. I swear that kid is going to get in some trouble. I walked over to the group of people.

"Eh he'll live."

"His arm is broken," One of the girls snapped.

"Hey! I'm sure that a broken arm hasn't fucking killed anyone!" I snapped back. God why was I getting pissed off so easily. "Like I said he will live, it's just a broken arm." She rolled her eyes and walked off. I ran my hands through my hair. "What the hell do they see in this jerk?" I mumbled walking away.

I went to Ty's room to see if he was there, I knocked on the door a few times. A few minutes later Seto opened it.

"Oh hey Astrid," He said faking a smile. "Do you need something?"

"I need to talk to Ty."

"Oh um he's not really in the mood to talk."

"All I want to know is what happened earlier at the training yard."

"I'm not sure if-"

"It's fine." Seto turned around and Ty was standing there.

"You sure?" Seto asked worried. Ty nodded. Seto sighed then walked to the living room and Ty looked at me.

"I didn't start that fight if that's what you were wondering."

"I just want to know what is going on. This isn't really like you Ty. What happened to bring that on?"

"I-I told him to leave Seto alone. Him and his friends were picking on him and I stood up for him and they just decided to go after me too." He sniffled and wiped his eyes. "I just wanted to talk it out, b-but he was going to hurt you and I-I didn't want to hurt him. I didn't want to hurt anyone," He cried.

"Ty he wasn't going to hurt me I could've handled him myself, I understand that you want to help. How about you ignore him till things calm down?"

"I-I can try," He said wiping his eyes. I pulled Ty into a hug.

"If anything just turn the other way or come get me or Axel." He nodded and hugged me back.

"Ok."

"Just try not to get into another fight please."

"I won't, I don't even want to fight him." I nodded.

"I'm going to see how Lalna is going." I said walking out of the room and went back down to Allison's room.
