The Dark Hour

I sighed and closed the door, I walked into the front room and looked at Lalna.

"And why are you hiding from him again?"

"Cause he's going to make me go back to my room and I don't want to go back."

"Well you aren't suppose to be around other angels but I don't see the harm with going to someone else's room." I took a sip of hot tea.

"I know, but I also want to go outside. I don't like being inside all the time."

"I understand this Lalna." I sighed. "Trust me I know what it feels like to be sick but Ryan is doing everything that he can. He said something about a page being ripped out of a book and it might have the cure on it." He nodded.

"I still don't like being stuck inside," He sighed softly.

"I know Lalna, no one likes to be stuck inside." He sighed and sat down.

"Do you know how close Ryan is to the cure?" He asked curiously.

"Um I'm not sure I can't figure anything out. I hope he is close to it." He nodded.

"I hope so too." I nodded.

"You know when Ridge finds out that I lied to him he's gonna kill me."

"No he won't, and he's not going to find out as long as you don't tell him," Lalna said softly. "Are you hungry cause I'm kinda hungry."

"I'll make something, are you still on liquids?"

"No, not really. My mom has been making me soup."

"I'll make something else, cause I bet you're tired of soup." He nodded.

"Yeah, kinda."

"Here it's peppered steak, Axel showed me how to make it."

"It smells good," Lalna said softly. He started taking small bites of it and he smiled. "It's really good." I smiled.

"Thanks, the last time I made this I burnt it."

"Well I like it," He said taking another bite.

"Thank you." There was a knock on the door. I got quickly walked to the door and opened it.

"Hello."

"Hey Astrid," Skyla said quickly. "So I tried making this thing but I don't know if it's any good and I can't find Ryan."

"Uh he should be in the lab."

"Ok, hey Lalna," Skyla waved. Lalna shyly waved back.

"Do you know how Ryan is doing?"

"Kinda, he's been stressed I know that." I sighed.

"I offered to help but he said being around the chemicals aren't good for me so he kinda kicked me off of the project."

"Oh ok, well Hannah is helping him. I think."

"That's good let's just hope she doesn't make anything explode."

"Why do people say that, has she done that before?" She asked confused.

"You have no idea I accidentally fell asleep and she blew something up and it woke me up. Then she singed my hair."

"Oh ok. Ryan better be careful then."

"Yeah so is cooking all you have been doing?"

"Kinda, I made some pillows."

"You've been busy. I've been hiding Lalna from Ridge."

"Why?"

"Cause Lalna wants to stay out of his room and Ridge won't let him walk around even if it's just in the halls."

"Oh, I think Allison told him not to leave the room too. I could be wrong and Ridge is just-" There was a small crash behind me and Skyla jumped. "Lalna!" I turned around and Lalna was on the floor.

"Hey!" I quickly ran over to him and placed his head in my hands. "Lalna!" I was so confused why did he faint? He was doing just fine earlier. "I don't understand he was doing just fine."

"Should I go get Ryan?" Skyla asked worried. I nodded.

"Yeah, I don't get why he fainted though." Skyla quickly ran off, shutting the door behind her. I looked down at Lalna and he was sweating up a storm. Why did he faint? What's going on!?
