I groaned and shut my alarm clock off, I got up and grabbed a dress that hit the middle of my thigh and threw on a jacket and sandals. I pulled my hair up and went to the kitchen.

"Good morning." I said grabbing a orange. "How did you sleep after you know what?" I asked Ridge.

"Fine," He sniffled and rubbed his eyes. "My head feels stuffy."

"You might be coming down with a cold."

"Really? Why?"

"I don't know, it's that time of year." He rubbed his eyes again then he sneezed.

"Are you sure? It is Spring."

"Maybe he got something from the lake?" Lalna said eating his cereal. I nodded.

"Yeah maybe, here take some medicine." I said handing him some day quil. Ridge quickly took it and yawned.

"How long does this take to kick in?" He asked.

"Um thirty minutes." He nodded.

"Ok." I handed him the pills and got my books in my bag and slung it over my shoulders.

"You guys ready to go?"

"I am." Lalna nodded and Ridge nodded then rubbed his eyes.

"Ridge did you get any sleep last night."

"A few hours," He said, his words were a bit slurred.

"Do you want to stay home so you can get some sleep?"

"No I'm ok." Axel nodded. We all got in the car and Axel drove us to school. We got there and Axel said bye we walked into the building and we went our separate way.

"Have a good day you guys." I said waving. Ridge nodded and Lalna smiled at me.

"You too Astrid." I smiled and walked to my locker. I heard footsteps and turned my head and saw him.

"Well I didn't think you would bother yourself with people like this princess."

"Don't call me that here." I said turning back to my locker. "What are you even doing here?"

"Well I thought since I would be spending the rest of my life here that I should educate myself. So Astrid may I ask why you are here?"

"Cause of reasons why is it so important."

"Well I heard that the Royal family fell there's no one left but the servants. They think that you are dead, now how would they feel if they found out that you were still alive."

"I swear if you start something I will kill you Ryan!" I snapped.

"Hey she remembers my name."

"How could I forget, we were friends once till you did something stupid."

"It wasn't stupid your family just thought that it was. You would of done the same damn thing to protect your family wouldn't you Astrid." I slammed my locker.

"I swear if you think I would of done that then you are mistaken."

"I wonder what your friends would think if they saw your true form. I'm sure they wouldn't want to be around you."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm just saying that if you want me to keep your secret then you should just turn yourself in." I balled my hands in a fist.

"You have no say in my life here I'm in a totally different world and if I were you I would shut up right now."

"Whatever you say Astrid." He said walking away, I growled and went to my first hour.

The day flew by and the only homework I had was history. I looked around but I didn't see Skyla. Ridge and Lalna were here.

"Have you guys seen Skyla at all today?" Ridge shook his head then sniffled.

"No." He still sounded stuffy.

"Not really. She wasn't in creative writing." I nodded.

"Okay." Axel pulled up.

"Sorry that I'm late."

"It's fine." I said getting in. Ridge and Lalna got in and I saw Ryan and he just smiled. I growled he made my blood boil, I looked down at my lap and I felt like I'm being watched. If I am this won't be good for my friends. We stopped and notice that we were home. I got out and we went up to the house as Axel left.

"Do you guys have any homework?" I asked. Ridge shook his head then laid down on the couch.

"I just have math," Lalna said softly.

"Okay, I just wanted to make sure." I said playing around with my magic some. What does Ryan even want? Specially with me, my parents had to send him away. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I started to get cold. I looked up and notice that I was making it snow. I'm pretty sure that Lalna was laughing. "Sorry." I said getting rid of it.

"It's ok, I liked it."

"Sometimes my emotions take over my magic and I don't notice what I'm doing."

"Really? So what's it like having magic?" He asked curiously.

"It's hard to be honest when you first get it which is when you're like three or four it's hard to control especially for me." I sighed. "You can't control it right off the bat I don't know how many time I've exploded up half of the castle."

"Oh, ok. That's a bit weird."

"How? Why do you say it's weird?"

"I don't know, it just seems weird to me."

"Probably cause you're human, but it's hard cause magic is tied with your emotions and if you can't control your emotions when you get your magic if kinda freaks you out and it just goes downhill from there."

"Ok," He said softly. "I'm going to finish my math." I nodded and got to work on my history I need to study to pass this test.
