The Dark Hour

There was a knock on the door. Who could that be? I sat down my homework and saw that Lalna poked his head out of Ridge's door.

"I got it Lalna." He slowly went back in and I laughed some. I walked over to the door and opened it and it was Ryan. I sighed and stepped outside. "What do you want?"

"Well since the asshole is here on Earth-"

"I'm stopping you right there, look we are no longer friends or will ever be friends again so stop trying to protect me."

"Look Astrid you're the last one of your bloodline, I don't want to see you hurt cause we were friends we grew up together. I don't want to see you hurt." I pushed him down the steps.

"I was hurt when you went on a fucking killing spree Ryan, that is what hurt me but we couldn't let you kill anyone else. That was when you hurt me!" I snapped. "I can't believe you!"

"Look he is here for you either to kill you or make you his wife so he would have two countries to control and you know that slavery is in his kingdom. I don't think you would want that in your kingdom." I shook my head.

"No I'm not going back I will kill him and if you get in my way or hurt any of my friends then I will rip your head off." He was going to say something till I looked behind him and it was Skyla.

"Um, what is going on?" She asked confused.

"Nothing he was just leaving."

"That I was, see you around Astrid later Skyla." I growled as he just smiled and walked away.

"Who was that?" Skyla asked looking at me.

"Someone from my past. That I don't care about."

"Ok, well my dad made me come here so...." She shrugged.

"Really?" I said confused walking back inside.

"Yeah. He was talking to this old friend of his and he was going to make me leave cause apparently there is something coming and it's not good."

"Oh really?" She nodded.

"Yeah."

"Okay well Ridge and Lalna are in Ridge's room and Axel is in his sleeping."

"Ok, so what are we going to do in the meantime then?"

"Um I was doing my homework."

"Well I don't have any so I guess I'll see what Ridge and Lalna are doing."

"Okay wait umm I don't understand your guys history like at all."

"Ok, um you should ask Lalna. He knows a lot more than me."

"Okay, I have math to do anyways."

"Ok, I'll let you get to that then."

"Okay." I said sitting down on the couch I started on my math.

"Thank you Lalna for the help." He smiled at me.

"It's no problem, I'm happy to help."

"I didn't understand your guys history at all."

"It can be a bit confusing."

"Yeah it's weird." I said putting my book in my bag. I looked up and saw Axel. "Hey sleepyhead." I said with a smile.

"Can I talk to you Astrid?"

"Yeah sure." I said with a smile.

"Uh Lalna can you give us a minute." He nodded.

"Yeah, I'm going to go to Ridge's room."

"Thank you." I looked at Axel a bit confused as he sat beside me. He looked at me and sighed. "Okay so I have never done this before."

"Done what?"

"Astrid I like you." I looked at him, my breath was caught in my throat.

"What?" Was the only thing that I could get out of my mouth. Axel looked down. "Axel I just need some time." He nodded.

"I understand, I'm going to go to the store for dinner." I nodded.

"Okay." He got up and walked away. I sighed and looked at my lap. I heard the door open I looked up and saw Lalna and Skyla. "You guys heard didn't you."

"Not really, what happened?" Skyla asked softly.

"Um Axel said that he liked me."

"Oh, I'm guessing it surprised you based on your reaction?" She guessed.

"Yeah, I don't know what I was suppose to say."

"Just what you want to say. You aren't supposed to say something just because, you can take time to think about this."

"I don't know, I told him I had to think about it but I'm not sure what I was suppose to say. Does that make me a bad person?"

"No, it doesn't make you a bad person."

"I feel like a bad person for not telling him. I don't know what I'm suppose to feel right now."

"Just think about it right now. It's ok if you don't know exactly what to do right away."

"Why is all of this so hard?"

"I don't know."

"Was this hard for you Lalna?" I asked laying upside down on the couch.

"Um a bit, but I knew I liked Ridge when he asked me."

"Uggg! This sucks." I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. "It's Friday right?"

"Yeah," Lalna said softly.

"Okay, I don't understand dating or anything like that."

"That's ok, no one really understands how dating works either," Skyla sighed.

"Oh thank god."

"I'm back." Axel said walking with some pizza's.

"Hi."

"Okay so I got cheese and taco pizza hope that is okay with everyone. Has Ridge taken his medicine?"

"I don't know," Skyla said sitting down on the loveseat.

"Okay I'll check." Axel said walking to Ridge's room.

"Have fun." I said with a smile. I got up and got some pizza and started to eat.
