The Dark Hour

I wasn't suppose to sleep for about 24 hours, but I was getting tired. I don't feel pain anymore, which was good. Ryan got the stuff to put a cast on my leg. I can't believe they put stuff on the tools that they used to torture me with. I slowly sat up and looked at the red cast. Why couldn't I be more careful. I looked over my shoulder and Lalna and Skyla walked in. The next thing I know Lalna is giving me a hug.

"Lalna? Are you okay?" He shook his head.

"I-I w-was worried a-about you," He sniffled. I smiled.

"I'm fine now okay."

"Lalna can you be more careful her ribs are cracked some." Ryan said walking in with two cups of tea. He slowly let go and looked down.

"Sorry," He said softly.

"It's fine you didn't know better Lalna. How's Ridge?" Lalna didn't say anything so Skyla spoke up.

"He's got a bad gash in his side and his left leg was sliced open near the vein." I nodded.

"He's going to be fine. I promise." I said ruffling up Lalna's hair and smiled at him. I looked over and Axel was sleeping. I smiled to myself and looked down at the cast. I was snapped back to reality when I saw Skyla writing on the cast.

"What are you doing?"

"Drawing, the red color by itself is boring."

"Uh..is this what humans do?" I asked a bit confused. "What are you drawing?"

"A dragon," She said focusing on what she was doing. I nodded and took a sip of my honey tea.

"Have you gotten anymore sleep Lalna?"

"Um, kinda," He said softly.

"He means no," Skyla said plainly. I sighed.

"You should get some sleep. It's not good on you."

"I can't," He mumbled rubbing his arms. I sighed and made a little vile pop in my hands.

"Here this should subdue the nightmares for at least twenty four hours."

"How?" Lalna asked carefully taking the vile.

"Um it's something that Vincent always made for me when I was younger, I'm not sure how it works to be honest."

"Is it safe?" I nodded.

"Yeah it's safe I wouldn't be giving it to you if it wasn't."

"I mean um... you know it's safe for you but is it safe for me?" He asked a bit worried. "We're not really the same um..."

"If you want you can run test on it to make sure but I'm pretty sure it's safe."

"I trust you," He said softly. "How do I um..."

"Just pop it open and drink it, warning it's going to taste nasty." He nodded then carefully opened it and quickly drank it. He was going to say something but he suddenly passed out. "Opps I forgot that it was fast acting." Ryan sighed and picked Lalna up.

"Is he going to be ok?" Skyla asked finishing her drawing.

"Yeah he's fine I just forgot that it was fast acting."

"Ok, well I'm done now. I'm going to check on Ridge again."

"Okay, after I get done and Ryan says it's okay, I'm going back home."

"Ok, see ya later." She left and I grabbed the crutches and took the needle out and walked around some.
