The Dark Hour

I went back to the apartment and sat down on the couch. I sniffed the air.

"Skyla are you cooking again?"

"Yeah!"

"Okay." I heard my phone go off and looked at the call. "Axel?" I said answering the phone.

"Hey Ryan I kinda don't trust the doctors here they said that she would be fine by the end of the week, but Astrid broke out in a fever."

"Wait what happened to Astrid?"

"She lost the baby so they told her to stay in bed and I went to check on her and she was passed out on the floor with a burning temperature." I sighed.

"Okay I'll be right there." I said hanging up and grabbing a coat. "Skyla I have to go!"

"Ok! When will you be back?"

"I'm not sure, I have to check up on Astrid, Axel called and said that she broke out in a fever."

"Ok, tell me if she's ok."

"I will, love you!"

"Love you too!" I quickly ate a piece of candy and I popped up in the medical wing. Scared a lot of people in the process.

"Ryan?" I quickly turned and saw Simon. "I thought that you were banned."

"I was but Prince Axel asked for me." I said quickly leaving, I walked up the stairs and went to Astrid's room. I walked over to her and checked everything. It seems fine but her heartbeat is slowing down way too quickly. "What pills did they put her on?"

"These." Axel said handing them to me. I opened the small orange bottle and took one out. It looks like pain medication, I tasted it but quickly spit it out.

"This isn't pain medication. How long has she had this?"

"Uh she takes it for pain, um for about a week now. Ryan what's going on?"

"We need to pump her stomach. Axel these are poison pills if we don't pump her stomach then she will die go down and get Simon." He quickly nodded and ran off, I got her uncovered and got her ready. The door opened and Simon came in. He pushed me out of the way. I growled but I let him just do it all. He always had it out for me. I sighed as he pumped Astrid's stomach.

"Give me a call if she get's worse, the IV should help, and the green medication is to make sure that all the poison is out of her system, it will make her puke which is good. I'll come back in a couple of days to see how she's doing. But other than that she should be fine, just keep an eye on her." He nodded.

"Who would want to hurt her?"

"A lot of people, you will learn more about the history as you move on it's not my place to tell you everything, I hope you learn what you're looking for."

"Thank you Ryan."

"No problem, she's like a little sister to me so if anything bad happens. So what happened to the baby?"

"I don't know the doctors said it was like it never happened. So they did surgery to get the baby out so she's suppose to be in bed." I nodded.

"That sucks, I can't believe that it happened. I gotta go I have to make sure that Skyla hasn't burned down the place yet." Axel nodded, I stomped on the beads and I was back in our room. "Skyla?! I'm home!" I called out. There was no reply. "Sky!" I called out again. I walked around the place and she wasn't here. Where is she? I walked out of the place and started to walk around. What is going on with her?
