"Skyla!" I whined. I hate being sick, I curled up on the couch hugging the pillow.
"Just a minute! I'm almost done with the soup," She called from the kitchen. I sighed and sat up. I hate it when demons get colds, it's like a human cold but ten times worst. My head was pounding when I went to sit up and took a drink of tea. I wish I could use my healing magic just to heal me, but sadly that's not how it works out. Skyla walked into the room carrying a bowl. I took it from her and it smelt amazing.
"Thanks Skyla." I said grabbing the spoon and trying some.
"I added extra chicken broth. It might be a bit too hot so be careful." I nodded.
"Thanks, sorry for making you worry about me."
"It's fine, it's not your fault you got sick like this."
"True, but I still feel bad for you taking care of me. I'm a healing demon and I'm sick."
"Doctors can get sick," She smiled softly. "It happens and sometimes you can't help it." I nodded and started to eat the soup it was a little too hot but it felt good.

I was taking a vapor bath with music off my phone playing music. The water felt good but I knew my fever wasn't going down any. This reminds me from when I was little and my mom took care of me. I got my healing magic from my dad. He was out drinking so my mom was stuck taking care of me. I didn't mind I love my mom. I smiled thinking about her. I really do miss her, I wish I knew my healing magic back then so I could've healed her. But she would probably still be in the slave trade. Ugg! I groaned and sat my chin on the edge of the tub. Who knows where I would be if my father didn't sell us. I looked up when there was a knock on the door.
"Yeah?" I called out.
"Hey, you doing ok in there?" Skyla called out.
"Yeah I'm fine just thinking."
"Ok, just call if you need anything."
"I will." I heard her walk away from the door and I sighed. I still have to go home and clean I'm pretty sure it's still a mess from when Axel got kidnapped. I looked at my fingers and they started to wrinkle up. I should probably get out. I got out and dried off and got dressed. I drained the tub and walked out. I rubbed the back of my head and sat down on the couch.
I know if I didn't go in slavery I wouldn't of met Astrid, Axel, Ridge, Lalna, or Skyla. Me and Skyla wouldn't even be friends we wouldn't even be together. I probably would be working with my dad if he never drank or went to the bar. I would probably have better healing magic. I groaned and sat on the couch I was snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at Skyla.
"What?"
"Are you ok?" She asked softly. "You seem... distant."
"Yeah I'm just thinking about some things."
"Like?"
"Uh about if me and my mom never got put into slavery. What type of life I would have. You know just fantasies."
"Ok, but that was all in the past."
"Yeah but me being sick and you taking care of me brought back a memory of when I was younger and I was sick. My mom took care of me since my dad was out getting drunk." She nodded.
"Well I don't really know what to say." I shrugged.
"You can't really say anything." I sighed. "Sorry that kinda sounded rude."
"It's fine, um I'm going out to check up on Ridge and Lalna. Are you going to be ok by yourself?" I nodded.
"Yeah I'll probably take a nap." She nodded.
"Ok, well I'll be back in a little bit." I nodded and watched as she walked away. I curled up on the couch and started to watch TV. Nothing good was on so I just watched the news. I should try to get some rest. I sighed and my eyelids were slowly closing.
