The Dark Hour

"Axel come on we're going to be late. Ridge you have everything right." I asked getting my blazer on and grabbed my bag.

"I think so, what else do I need?" He asked confused.

"I'm not sure. Axel let's go!"

"I'm coming damn!" I growled and he kissed the top of my head. "Ridge are you ready for this?"

"I'm ready to see him behind bars." I said crossing my arms.

"Yeah, I'm ready," Ridge sighed. I nodded and I made a portal, and we walked through. Axel wrapped his arms around my waist before I fell.

"Woah Astrid you good?" I nodded.

"Yeah I'm fine come on we're going to be late. Skyla did Ryan stay behind?"

"Yeah, something about helping Ty with something." I nodded. We got to the courtroom and we took our seats. Ridge looked pale when they brought out his uncle. He looked like he was going to be sick.

"Ridge are you going to be okay? Do you need a minute?"

"I'm fine," He said softly. I sighed, and bit my bottom lip as people filed into the courtroom. I sat there holding Axel's hand while they started to talk.

"All rise for the honorable Judge Wyatt." We stood up and the fat guy took a seat behind the podium. He put his hand up and we all sat down.

"We are here to discuss the case of Ridge Voxel vs Carl Erza."

"How long do these things last?"

"Quite a while Astrid so get comfy." I nodded.

"Yes your honor the defense would like to call Ridge Voxel to the stands." Ridge tensed and shrunk down a bit. I stood up and walked over to him.

"Hey Ridge look at me." Ridge looked at me, he looked scared. "You're going to be fine he can't hurt you anymore and if something happens me and Axel will stop it and there are a bunch of guards here that will also protect you. You can do this." He nodded a little.

"Ok." I smiled.

"He can't do anything just go up there and tell them the truth about what happened. We are right here with you, you're not alone." He nodded then slowly got up and went up to the stand. I went back and sat down.

"You promise to tell the truth and nothing but the truth." Ridge nodded.

"Good morning Ridge, please tell us what happened that night on March 19th."

"Ok, um I went to school like normal and I was going to go to my friend Axel's house after school with Lalna. I was waiting up front for Lalna but he didn't come. Axel came to pick us up and I told him that Lalna wasn't there yet, so we looked around the school but we couldn't find him. Axel called Lalna's mom to see if he was with her and he wasn't. Then I decided to call Lalna and someone else answered his phone. They told me to go back to my uncle's house if I didn't want them to hurt Lalna. I-"

"Don't push yourself Ridge." The girl said. "Do you need some water?" He nodded. She grabbed a cup of water and handed it to him. This is going to be hard on him, having to relive it. I shook my head, and sighed. I need some air. I got up and walked out of the room for a little bit.
