The Dark Hour

I sighed and knocked on Allison's door. I waited a minute before she opened the door.

"Oh hey Skyla, how have you been?" She asked tiredly.

"I'm fine, you look tired." She nodded.

"I'm just worried."

"I know, I'm worried too." She sighed.

"He got better for a few minutes. I tried to give him some soup and five minutes later-" She shook her head. "He needs to eat something but if he can't keep it down, I don't know what to do."

"Allison, I know it's frustrating and you're worried but you need to take care of yourself too. How about you get some rest, I can watch him for a while." She sighed.

"I don't know."

"Allison, please you need to sleep sometimes." She slowly nodded.

"Ok, just for a little bit. I already send Ridge back to his room twice. He wasn't sleeping either." I smiled and nodded.

"Sounds like something he would do." She let me in and I looked around. Allison had the first aid kit out and about every kind of medicine laid out on the table.

"He was on the couch, I think he might be in the bathroom though. I'll be in my room if you need me." I nodded.

"Ok." She went to her room and I walked over to the bathroom. I lightly knocked on the door.

"Lalna? Are you in there?" I asked softly.

"Y-Yeah," He weakly called back.

"Are you ok?" I asked a bit worried.

"Yeah, j-just give me a minute."

"Ok, just call if you need anything." I waited outside the door and sighed. My phone buzzed and I looked at it. I smiled, it was just Ryan.

Ryan- Hey babygirl, I'm having to help Astrid with something see ya later tonight.

Me- Ok, I'm watching Lalna while Allison gets some rest. She looked about ready to pass out

Ryan- okay I hope Astrid has an idea on what she can do.

I sighed.

Me- me too

The door opened and I put my phone in my pocket as Lalna stumbled out of the bathroom. I quickly helped him walk to the couch and he laid down. His face was pink and he was sweaty. He was wearing a tank top and boxers and he looked miserable.

"Hey Lalna, um how are you feeling?" I asked softly.

"Dizzy, and hot," He sighed.

"That's not good, can I get you anything?" He shrugged. "I'm going to get you some ice."

"Ok." I went to the kitchen and grabbed a cup. I filled it with ice from the fridge and I sighed. I walked back in and Lalna sat up.

"Here, maybe just holding it might help. You could suck on it if you wanted to." He nodded and took a piece. He put it in his mouth and a second later he coughed it out.

"Woah there easy," I said quickly sitting besides him. I rubbed his back and sighed. "Don't hurt yourself ok, just take things slow if you need to." He nodded and got another piece. He held it and just shifted from one hand to the other. Someone knocked on the door and Lalna jumped.

"I'll get it," I said standing up. I opened the door and I really wasn't surprised to see Ridge.

"Oh hey Skyla, what are you doing here?" He asked curiously.

"I'm watching Lalna while Allison gets some sleep."

"How is he?" Ridge asked softly.

"He's playing with some ice. You want to see him, don't you?" He nodded. "Ok come on." I let Ridge in and I followed him back into the living room. Lalna looked up and his face lit up.

"Ridge," He smiled.

"Hey Lalna, how are you doing?"

"Um not better but not worse. I think." Ridge nodded and sat down by him.

"That's good, that you're not getting worse I mean." Lalna laughed a little bit and I smiled. My phone buzzed again and I checked it.

Ryan- Hey I'm done with Astrid she just needed me to draw blood from her but I have to do a quick arron.

Me- Ok, Ridge came over and Lalna really seemed to perk up a bit.

Ryan- Do you want to come with me?

Me- I said I was going to watch Lalna, and where are you going?

Ryan- :( I'm going to my world to get some dragon blood from Edmond.

Me- why do you need dragon blood?

Ryan- it's for Astrid she said that she needs it for the cure or something like that.

Me- ok be careful <3

Ryan- I always am :P

I smiled then put my phone in my pocket. I looked at Ridge and Lalna. Ridge had Lalna sitting in his lap and they were messing around with the ice. Ridge broke one in half and Lalna stuck it in his mouth. I bit my lip and waited a second, but Lalna didn't cough it back up. I sighed and sat down in a chair. Hopefully Astrid could do something to help him. I didn't feel like losing someone else like this again.
