The Dark Hour

I screamed and bit my bottom lip to where it was bleeding. I'm glad they took Lalna out of here, but since Quentin was in here Gavin seemed like an ass.

"I told you I don't know how else to get into the angel base."

"You can get in. How do you do it?" He asked lowly.

"Like I would tell you, I'm not stupid enough to do that." I said coughing up blood. I'm pretty sure they broke more ribs, my leg is definitely broken now. I'm not cracking.

"Let her hang there, don't give her any food or water till she starts talking, bring the kid back in." Quentin said walking out. Gavin mumbled something under his breath then walked out with Quentin. I could barely see out of one eye, I hope someone is coming to get us cause I can't get me and Lalna out of here. The door opened again and Lalna tumbled in. I sighed.

"Did they do anything while you were out there?" He shook his head.

"No, Gavin took me back to that room and he took a look at my arm. I got three stitches in it now." I nodded, my hair fell in my face and it wasn't white anymore it was caked in blood. I was getting tired but I can't go to sleep just in case I have a concussion. I shook my head and looked around, was there anything I can use to get out of these. I just want to go home.

"Lalna is the first aid kit still in the hiding spot?" He walked over to the table and looked under it.

"Yeah."

"I need you to get the bandages out and wrap my side, I'm pretty sure that it's still bleeding."

"Ok," He said softly. He got out the bandages and carefully started wrapping up my side. "It's not too tight is it?"

"No it's fine thanks you Lalna. Did you get anymore sleep?"

"A little," He said quietly.

"Did you have another nightmare?" He slowly nodded. I sighed, just as long as he is here he won't get any sleep. My chest tightened up and pain shot through my leg. I bit my bottom lip and tried not to scream or cry. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried not to feel the pain.

"Astrid? Astrid what's wrong?" Lalna asked worriedly.

"It's just a little pain."

"You're a horrible liar." I sighed.

"I know I am, it's just pain that's all."

"What hurts?"

"My leg, I think it's broken, I can't really feel it." Lalna looked at my leg then lightly touched it. I bit my bottom lip trying not to scream, tears consumed my face. It hurt really bad.

"Sorry, I-I think it's broken too. I'm not sure if that's all that it is though."

"What else d-do you think it is?" I choked out.

"Well bone fragments could have cut up some of the muscles in your leg and caused a rupture," He said softly. "I'm not sure since I'm really not a doctor." I let out a shaky breath.

"I'm sure some ribs are busted, Ryan is going to have a hay day with me."

"Yeah," Lalna smiled lightly. The room started to spin some.

"Is the room suppose to spin?"

"No, is it spinning for you?" He asked worried.

"Yeah."

"That's not-" The door opened and Lalna backed away from it. I looked up and a guy walked in.

"Kid get out." He said sternly. Lalna didn't move, he looked scared. "Unless you want to see your friend get tortured anymore than she already is I would leave the room." Lalna's face paled then Gavin came in. He grabbed Lalna's wrist and quickly pulled him out of the room. The guy walked over to me and lifted up my face.

"So you won't talk." He said with a evil smile. He grabbed the knife and stabbed me in the leg. I screamed and he just laughed. "Now tell me what I want to know." I shook my head and he pulled it out. "How do I get in the angel base?"

"I-I don't know, and if I did I wouldn't tell you. So if I were you I would just give up on me. I'm not saying anything." I said with a smile. That made him pissed. He punched me in the face.

"I don't care if you're a princess I will get what I want out of you even if it almost kills you." He said walking out. I sighed, I hope they don't try anything with Lalna. I felt my pants soak up with blood. I slowly closed my eyes and slipped into consciousness.
