The Dark Hour

--------Lalna--------

I woke up on the couch, and also on top of Ridge. He was still sleeping so I didn't move. I heard other people talking though.

"Astrid you need to get back in bed."

"But I have to go to the bathroom."

"Then why were you walking to the kitchen?"

"I got thirsty."

"Go to the bathroom, I'll get you some water."

"Fine." I sighed then carefully rolled off of Ridge, and the couch. I crashed to the floor and somehow Ridge didn't wake up, but I did get Axel's attention.

"Oh my god Lalna are you okay?" Axel asked helping me up.

"I'm fine, I just didn't want Ridge to-" He groaned then sat up. "-wake up." Ridge rubbed his eyes and sighed.

"What's going on?" He asked tiredly.

"Nothing," I sighed. He looked at Axel confused.

"Nothing?"

"I don't know I just heard a thump and Lalna was on the floor."

"Lalna, did you fall on the floor?" Ridge asked worried. I sighed.

"Yeah, but I'm fine."

"You sure?" I nodded.

"Yeah." He sighed then nodded.

"Ok."

"Okay well I'm going to make sure that Astrid got back in bed."

"Ok, is she doing ok?" I asked a bit worried.

"Well I gave her a little bit of the fever medicine and it's gone down some but not a lot."

"Ok."

"Yeah, will you guys be okay here by yourself while I'm gone?" We both nodded. "Okay I just wanted to make sure. Call if Astrid get's worse."

"We will," I said softly.

"Thank you guys." He said walking into his room. I sat down by Ridge and he pulled me into his lap. I blushed and looked down.

"Ridge?"

"Hmm?" He hummed.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm still tired, and you are really warm," He said tiredly. My face felt hot and I looked down at my feet.

"You can't sleep all day," I said quietly. He nodded.

"I know. But I just want to um..." I looked at his face and he was blushing.

"Ridge? Are you ok?" He nodded and wrapped his arms around me.

"Yeah, I just lost the words." I nodded and leaned into his chest.

"Ok." I could hear his heart rate increasing and I smiled. I felt Ridge's chin on my head and he pulled his knees up a little so I was pressed more into his chest. His heart rate slowed down a bit and I heard him yawn.

"Oh my god just kiss already!" Ridge jumped and I fell off the couch.

"Skyla!" Ridge shouted. She covered her mouth then quickly ran down the hall. "Hey!" Ridge got up and ran after her. I sighed and got back on the couch. I knew it was a bit weird, but I really like him. I think he likes me too but I'm not completely sure. I didn't want to ruin anything, but I also wanted to tell him everything. I just needed the right moment.
