The Dark Hour

I was eating a piece of cheese pizza when I saw something out the window. I looked a bit more closely and it was Jack. He was waving at me. I put my pizza down and quietly went outside. Jack was standing by the side of the house and he motioned me over to him. I walked over to him and he sighed.

"Ok, this might seem really weird to you that I found out where you lived and basically all of this but I needed to tell you something."

"Tell me what?" I asked curiously.

"Um well there's something happening, and it's going to happen soon by the way everyone is acting. I wanted to warn you cause you seem really nice and I don't want you to get caught up in this."

"Really? And what do you mean by everyone?"

"My family. More of them are leaving cause they're scared."

"Do you know what exactly they are scared of?"

"N-No, not really. I have to go," He said quickly.

"Jack wait-" He ran behind the house and I ran after him but as soon as I rounded the corner he was gone. It was like he disappeared.

"Hey you okay Lalna?" Astrid asked. I looked at her and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure you look troubled."

"Yeah I'm fine, I was just um talking to someone."

"Okay well let's get back inside." I nodded.

"Ok." We went back inside and I continued to eat my piece of pizza. Something was coming apparently, at least that's what Jack said. But what was coming? I guess I was going to find out soon enough.

I was getting ready for bed when someone knocked on the front door.

"Hello?"

"Hello, is Axel home?" I heard my mom ask.

"I'm here. Go on to bed Lalna I got it." I nodded and went to Ridge's room. Ridge was sleeping on the far left side of the bed so I laid down on the right. Axel said he wasn't contagious so I should be fine. I was just about to fall asleep when Ridge rolled over and wrapped his arms around me. I blushed a bit then sighed and relaxed. I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
