The Dark Hour

I got the money out of Axel's sock drawer, I walked out the front door after telling Ridge and Lalna that I was leaving. I was walking to the store when my arm was grabbed I was pulled into an alley.

"What th-" I was cut off by a hand going over my mouth. I swear I'm going to rip his head off.

"Would you shut up? I'm saving your life." I tried to talk but nothing but mumbled came out. "Look right over there." I looked at where he was pointing. Oh no you have got to be kidding me. "Put this on and keep your head low." He said tossing me a hat and walking away. I pulled my hair up in a bun and put my hair in the beanie. I kept my head low till I got to the store.

I got the cake mix, and things I would need. I got things for dinner which I was going to make something that the cooks showed me how to make. I was going to the check out when I bumped into someone or something. I looked up and it was the guy that Ryan was warning me about.

"Sorry miss." He said walking away. I sighed and got checked out and headed back home.

I walked inside and took off the hat. I put the bags in the kitchen and sighed. I can't believe that Ryan did that, I thought that Ryan was going to kill me.

"You guys I'm home!" I yelled. No one answered. That's weird. I walked into the front room and they both were sleeping. I smiled and went back to the kitchen and started on dinner.

I got dinner done and went to wake up Lalna.

"Lalna come on dinner is done." He groaned then sat up.

"It is?" He yawned.

"Yeah come on let's eat, I'm going to make Ridge some soup so it's easy on his throat." I said walking back in the kitchen and opened a can of soup. After a while it was done and I went to wake Ridge up. "Ridge." I said shaking his shoulder lightly. He groaned softly then sat up.

"What is it?" He asked tiredly.

"I made some soup do you feel like eating." He nodded then slowly got up.

"Where'd Lalna go?" He asked a bit confused.

"He's making his plate. I'll bring you your bowl." I said walking back into the kitchen. I got Ridge his bowl and gave it to him. I made my plate and down in the front room and watched tv.

I got done and started on the dishes.

"How are you feeling Ridge?"

"A little better."

"That's good."

"My head's still a bit stuffy though."

"I'll see if there is any medicine for that." I said looking in the medicine cabinet, I didn't find anything. "Um I don't think we have anything."

"Ok," He yawned. "I'll be fine."

"Okay."

I got the rest of the dishes done and yawned.

"I'm heading to bed you two."

"Ok, night Astrid."

"Night."

I walked into the bedroom and got dressed and laid down. I wonder what happened at work. I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
