The Dark Hour

Ryan had to go back over to Lalna's last night, and today we don't have school since me and Ryan are graduating. I got on a white dress that hit the middle of my thigh. I got on wedges and curled my hair, I got down stairs and Ryan handed me my cap and gown. Axel said that he will be there long enough to see me walk across the stage. I got on the golden cap and gown and we headed to the school.

We got there and got in our seat we were a little late but we just missed the speeches anyways so it was nothing important. I looked around and saw everyone. I sighed and listened.

After a good hour it was time for us to walk across the stage. Ryan smiled at me and I smiled back. I don't know why but I was excited. My row stood up and they called us name by name.

"Astrid Karrington!" I walked up and shook the guy's hand and they took a picture. Graduation was finally over and I meet everyone outside so it wasn't crowded.

"Hey you guys!" I said happily. Ryan walked over to Skyla and wrapped his arm around her neck.

"So how does it feel dating a man now?"

"Ryan you aren't a man." I said blankly laughing. Skyla giggled then rolled her eyes. "Happy Birthday Lalna, I got this for you." I said holding out a box. He took it and smiled.

"Thank you," He said quietly. He opened it then smiled. "I like it."

"I take it Axel left already?"

"I think so," Skyla said looking around. I sighed.

"We should get to the house, I don't want to be here any longer than I have to." Ryan said with a small laugh. I nodded so we all got into his car.

We were at Lalna's place it had a happy birthday Lalna and a congratulations sign. There was two tables full of food and the kitchen table full of drinks. I took off my cap and gown and sat then on the couch. Ryan handed me a cup, it was kool aid but something else was mixed in with it. I didn't know what it was but it tasted really good.

"Ryan what is this?"

"My special drink."

"Should I be worried?" Ryan shook his head.

"Nah were partially adult so I'm sure we won't get in trouble."

"Ryan my boyfriend is a freaking cop, and I'm underage drinking."

"Yes but you're at home so you are fine. Axel can't get mad if you're not going to drink anywhere." I sighed and nodded.

"If you say so." I said taking another drink.
