There was a party on the enterprise to celebrate the end of your five year mission, for everyone else it was a happy time, finally being home, being able to see there family again, but for me, it was the start of a nightmare. The other day I had walked into the Medbay after my boyfriend, Bones, said he had to work late. I thought I'd suppose him and join him for his overtime but when I got there my world came falling down, there was the love of my life, making out with another woman. Before Bones could explain, I bolted, he'd just shattered my heart. Since then, we haven't spoke. I'm not good with dealing with emotion so I decided that tonight I'd say how I felt through the only way I knew, song.

"And up next is...(Y/N) (Y/L/N) and she will be singing"

Jim came off the stage a patted you on the back, you took a deep breath before going on stage and standing in front of the microphone, you looked in the crowd and your eyes met, standing there beside the girl he kissed was Leo.

"Tonight I will be singing 'Dancing on my Own', the lyrics feel very relevant to me, especially with the way things have currently gone for me, I hope you enjoy"

You nodded in Jim's direction and he started to play the track *play video at top of story*

"Somebody said you got a new friend

By the end of the song you feel tears forming in your eyes. You quickly get up and run out of the room, you stand outside the door, and cry your eyes out. You feel someone hug you and you hug them back, you look up and realise it's Bones but you don't push away, you still loved him, that would never change.

"I'm so sorry Darlin'...I've messed up...please let me fix this"

You don't speak you just let bones hold you, this was were you anted to be, in Leo's arms, this was were you felt safe and loved.

"Why..."

"I don't know Darlin' but I've been an idiot"

"Do you love her???"

"No...there's only one woman I love and that's you, it always has been...please just tell me what I need to do to fix this"

"Just...don't hurt me like that again..."

"I swear I will never do anything like that again...Darlin', your my world...I love you"

"I...I love you too"

You then kissed Bones, you had kissed before but this was different, it was to show how much you actually cared about each other, Leo made a mistake, you could forgive him for that, you just hoped that he wouldn't do it again because you weren't sure you'd be able to handle going through this again.
