Kihyun laid in his room, crying silently with the palms of his hands harshly pressed into the sockets of his eyes. His little sobs shook his body, sending small waves of pain through his rib.
He was upset that he wasn't able to perform because of his broken ribs. He had insisted that he would be fine but his managers told him that he couldn't since they wanted him to heal as soon as possible.
He felt like he had let down his fans. He blamed himself for all of it, even if it wasn't his fault. He didn't want to worry the Monbebes either, although their heartfelt messages were making him feel better than before.
"Ki- whoa, what's wrong?" Minhyuk's voice interrupts his self deceiving thoughts.
"N-nothing. It just hurts a lot," the puffy-eyed boy replies, wiping his tears away.
"Hurts as in your rib or your heart?" Minhyuk responds knowingly.
"...b-both," Kihyun cries once again, feeling sick as the guilt pools in his stomach.
Minhyuk carefully pulls the boy into his arms, stroking his hair, "it's not your fault. They understand, you know. I know it sucks not being able to perform, but sometimes you have to think about yourself. I know you feel like you've disappointed the fans but you haven't. They understand, it's okay."
"O-okay," the injured boy responds, thankful for those words Minhyuk had spoken.
The older stayed with the younger until he had fully calmed down and had even begun to fall asleep while cuddled into Minhyuk's arms.
"Hey Min- oh, should I come back later?" Hoseok questions, seeing the two in each other's grasp, one being awake and the other fast asleep.
"It's not what it looks like. He was upset over his rib again. It took like half an hour to get him to sleep, but anyways, what did you need?" Minhyuk responds with a cautious voice.
"Do you want take out?" Wonho weakly smiles. Knowing that one of their members was hurt both physically and emotionally pained him. He wanted to take care of his younger members but he was happy that they also took care of each other.
"Please and thank you," Minhyuk smiles.
