I could hear Y/n's footsteps approaching, along with the rest of the group not far from our current room. Time was of the essence; I needed to conclude this conversation before they entered. "Look, there is a reason why I'm the favorite in that lab. I was born unusual, not just in my abilities, but in my inner strength. Unlike the others, they came vulnerable and hopeless, and the same goes for the twins."

Glancing at the door, my ears deciphered the approaching footsteps. I counted the precious moments I had left to talk before returning to the innocent act. "I was fortunate enough to be taken away from them because I knew what was going on in that lab. They were taking my blood to drink and survive. When you came, you found a cure that could alleviate their pain for a few weeks only—such a shame."

I scoffed, harboring resentment for anyone attempting to help the twins, though I couldn't entirely blame him. In the story, he was an innocent bystander who witnessed some suffering. "They've been searching for you with panic. It's funny. Arthur won't last long, and James will follow after. I'll gladly go to their funeral as a long-lost friend, so don't worry."

I knew they would never return to me. Without a doubt, I would destroy and eliminate them to ashes if they came anywhere near me with the mention of my blood. "Don't you feel a little worried or something for them? Clearly not, but in a worst-case scenario, they will take you in and get your blood again. Don't get Y/n involved in this."

Just in time, the entire group entered the room with delight and joy, laughter echoing from each of their tones.

'Don't get Y/n involved in this,' I thought, dismissing it as nonsense. She had been involved ever since you left her alone, but I suppose that would remain a secret. She wanted you to go peacefully, and I would follow her command. Besides, I didn't need to feel remorse for them. I did once, and they took advantage of that.

I needed to inform Miss Peregrine about all of this and lay low in the meantime, avoiding the twins. They would come looking for me and Y/n once Mr. Hart was dead.
