11: Console Me

Katsuki walked through the small apartment back and forth, he just couldn't sit down. 

'Where the hell is she? She's been gone for a long time now. This is annoying me.' he thought. 

The clock swiftly changed the time as it was now 11pm, and this meant the greenette was out for almost 5 hours! 

'Arg- WHERE THE HELL DID DEKU GO?!?!' he thought, gritting his teeth and growling with annoyance.

Finally, the sound of a door clicking unlocked and the front door slowly opened. Katsuki froze and practically ran to the front door and wanted to bark at his new owner for being gone for so long. 

'What the hell was she thinking, she could've at least taken me with her if she was gonna be gone this-' 

His thoughts halted as he looked up to see the greenette, soaking wet, walking into the apartment. 

'What the- she's... soaking wet? Did it rain outside? But it was a clear sky earlier today.' he thought.

He watched as the greenette walked past him and through the small apartment and into the bedroom. 

'Huh? What's with her?' he thought and followed the greenette and noticed she'd left her bedroom door open. 

'Why's she acting so quiet? Did something happen after she left?' he thought, slowly walking up to her as she sat on her bed. 

Her hair was still dripping wet, and her clothes were drenched that they were getting her own sheets wet too. Katsuki stopped a few feet in front of the greenette and sniffed and practically gagged at the stench. 

'What the hell- why does she smell like the fucking sewers?!? What the hell was she do-' 

He looked up at the greenette and froze when he finally saw her face.

Her eyes appeared jaded and almost broken, her skin was pale and her under eyes appeared swollen. He looked at her body, which was shaking from how cold and wet her clothes were. 

'That face- I know that face... it looks exactly like it did from... that day...' Katsuki thought, thinking back to those 7 years prior when he blatantly told Izuku straight to his face to 'take a swan dive off the roof'. 

"Why don't you just take a swan dive off the roof and stop annoying the shit outta me? No one'll even notice you when you're gone, not even me. So do that, and stop being so useless." 

'I remember seeing that face, it was a face that pierced my memory, and it was what led me to almost get killed that day too.' Katsuki thought as he stared at the greenette.

'I said those words out of anger and I was annoyed that he was trying to beat me, but all I really did was hurt him and think that it was okay.' Katsuki thought. 

He felt his chest throbbing, and just looking at a tear stream down the greenette's face made his chest hurt even more. 

'Erm- I gotta know what you did-' 

"Hey!" he yelped. 

Izumi slightly jumped and looked up to see the dog sitting in front of him. 

"Ah- Kacchan... hmph, to think this is only your first day of me being your owner and I'm already making this face. I'm sorry, it's just some things that happened after I had dinner. I would've come home sooner, but I ended up wandering the streets in deep thought instead. The truth is Kacchan..." she paused and made direct eye contact with the dog.
