"Huh? Then where will you be, mom?"

"I'll go with Katsuki myself."

Izumi froze, not what she had anticipated to hear her mother say.

"You're gonna go to the market too, Inko?"

"Yes, I'm sure my daughter will be fine keeping you company until we come back. Right, Izuku?" Inko said.

"Ah- sure, of course I can." Izumi proclaimed.

'Why can't I go with Deku instead?' Katsuki thought.

"Follow me, Katsuki, I'm sure we can talk on the way there too." Inko said.

Katsuki sighed and got up from the couch and followed Inko out the door. He didn't expect this to happen and change things from his life before, but at least it was different in a way.

"My son really didn't do anything reckless that he shouldn't do to you, right?" "

N-No Mrs. Bakugo, everything's fine. It just seems to be some kind coincidence that me and your son are working together at the same Police Station now." Izumi said, trying to laugh it off.

"Though it seems like a strange coincidence, I'm relieved that he's working with someone like you, Izuku." Izumi looked up at the blonde.

"Eh?"

"Back when you and my son were in Junior High, I remember asking him if he still wanted to go to U.A., but I was surprised when he told me he didn't want to. I asked him why, and you know what he said?"

"What did he say?"

"I'm not good enough to go there, I'm not good enough like Izuku." Izumi froze, she felt her chest getting warm.

"I didn't know what he meant back then, but looking back I think he knew you were hardworking and always trying to be as good as my son. So though he didn't go to the high school he always wanted to, he kept the thought of knowing that he would try to be better. When your mother told me you had to move to the campus, I could tell she was worried about you, and I figured my son would be worried about you when I told him the same thing." Mitsuki said.

"How did... How did he react?"

"He looked at me and didn't know what to say. He figured that since you were living at the campus, that meant you had to be training a lot, so he trained a lot too. My son shut everyone out because you weren't here, but I knew he was desperate to try and do anything to be better." Mitsuki said.

'Though time flashed forward to this day, it seems there's still memories that I never knew about from the past. Last time when me and Kacchan came here and Kacchan was still a dog, she didn't recognize him, but she still cried at just the thought that her son was still missing. This is so different from the past, and though me and Kacchan aren't connected or have the same memories of our past life, I'm relieved Kacchan is still close to me in a way.' Izumi thought.

"I do hope you and my son stay close." Izumi looked up at the blonde as she smiled.

"I'm sure my son would be happy again just to have you around him."

"Ah- mn. I will!"

While Izumi and Mitsuki remained at home talking, Inko and Katsuki were on their way to the market.

'Geez, how the hell did things turn out this way? That old hag better now be spouting shit about me.' Katsuki thought.
