51: Unnatural

The following day came and Izumi woke up to her alarm and sighed. 

"Looks like I need to go back to work now." Izumi said, rubbing her eyes. She sat up from her bed and stretched her arms and looked around her room. 

'It's so quiet.' 

She got up and took a morning shower, had breakfast and got ready for work like usual. 

'I'm sure Chevy and Anastasia are gonna fill me in on everything I've missed since the incident with Stain.' 

She got to the front door and stopped and turned, and though she was used to expecting to see an Ash Blond Shikoku dog standing behind her, they weren't there. 

"Ah- that's right, Kacchan's human again, and I told him to find another place to live until I get used to him again. Looks like I'm going to work alone... again." she told herself and left to head to the Police Station.

The greenette was completely awake yet, as she yawned the entire time walking to the Police Station. 

'I didn't get a lot of sleep yesterday after talking to Kacchan, I hope he found a place to live right now.' she thought. She walked into the station, and without paying attention, she ended up running into someone by accident. 

"Ack- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" 

Izumi looked up and froze to see she'd run into Katsuki. 

"Uh- K-Kacchan? What're you-"

"Good morning Izumi. Oh, it seems Katsuki's here too, well since both of you are here, Chevy and I wanna talk to you two." Anastasia said. 

Izumi jolted her head to look at Anastasia and was not sure what was happening.

"Were you asking me why I'm here, Deku?" Izumi jolted her head to look back at Katsuki, his Ruby Red eyes carrying a strong gaze down at her. 

"W-Well, y-yes...?" 

"Hah- since it's been a long time since I last was normal, I had nothing else to do so I came here. I did wanna know what happened after I saved you that day." Katsuki said, rubbing the back of his head. 

"O-Oh right, I almost forgot you've been a dog for the past 7 years. Hehe- silly me~" Izumi said nervously. 

The atmosphere surrounding them was awkward, compared to the day before where it was gentle and almost bittersweet, this was just... strange. It was like they were acting like complete strangers.

Katsuki took the lead and started walking through the station, and after a few seconds, he stopped and turned around. 

"You comin?" 

"O-Oh right, right behind you, Kacchan." Izumi said and rushed to walk behind him.

The two of them sat in Chevy's office, Chevy and Anastasia could tell something was off about the two of them, but didn't even feel like asking. 

"Ahem- Stain was detained right after the incident and is held behind bars like the other members of the League we've got detained." Anastasia said. 

"Oh, I see..." 

Anastasia sighed and dropped a stack of pictures onto Chevy's desk, both Izumi and Katsuki looked down to see the first few pictures. 

"What's this?"
