68: I'm Here

"You're right, it is sweet." Izumi's face turned bright red.

He straightened his back and walked into the kitchen to get something to drink. 

"I didn't get the chance to do that earlier, and you still haven't accepted being my girl-" 

He turned around to see the greenette wasn't sitting at the dining table anymore. In fact, he heard the bedroom door slam shut, and Izumi ran into her room. 

'Did Deku just... DID SHE RUN AWAY AFTER A FUCKING KISS?!?!' he yelled in his head.

Izumi slammed her back against the door and slid down to the floor, her face still bright red and steam was coming out of her ears. 

'Holy Woah, did that just... DID KACCHAN REALLY JUST KISS ME?!?! Calm down, no need to overreact, but still... it was unexpected and... sweet- wait- it was only sweet because of the cake! And I just confessed to him earlier today too, but it's not like he doesn't like me back. What should I do? I can't go back out there and look at him, I feel so embarrassed just running away! Why am I still a scaredy cat?' Izumi thought, cradling her legs as her heart was practically beating out of her chest.

"Yah- Deku." 

Izumi froze and lifted her head, he was still there? 

"You okay, you randomly ran into your room." 

"I-I'm fine, Kacchan! I-I just got a little... light-headed! Yeah! I was dizzy and thought if I went to my room I wouldn't be light-headed anymore. I-I'm okay, don't worry about me, Kacchan! You can leave everything in the dining room as is and I'll clean it up later!" Izumi yelled. 

Katsuki stood on the other side of the door, does this mean the date was over and Izumi was declining him? He felt his head drop and the thought of defeat hit his chest. 

'Damnit.' 

"Fine, just don't do anything stupid once I leave-" 

'Wait- he's gonna leave? No, I don't want him to leave!'

"Y-You can sleep here!" Izumi yelled, Katsuki froze. 

"Huh?" 

"J-Just sleep on the couch tonight, it's pretty late and cold outside. I would feel bad that you'd have to leave because of me getting a little... dizzy." Izumi said. 

Katsuki was surprised, she wanted him to stay, and though he would have to sleep on the couch, it was better than leaving. 

"Okay, I'll stay. I'll be on the couch if you... need anything." Katsuki said. 

"O-Okay, um... thank you for everything today, Kacchan. I... I had fun, even if we just went to the Station and the hospital, but... I enjoyed today." Izumi muttered. 

"Right... I uh- I did too. Umm... night, Deku." 

"Uh huh- g-good night, Kacchan..."

Katsuki was lying on the couch and staring at the ceiling, he tried to sleep but it only led him to just staying wide awake. Just thinking about everything that happened that day was a lot to him. 

He stood up to someone because they were bad mouthing Izumi, Izumi confessed that she liked him. He confessed right after that too, and then later ended up kissing her for her only to run into her room. Though he thought Izumi was turning him down, maybe she just needed a little space to think, the kiss was sudden for her.
