195: Be Mean

The day arrived and it was now Katsuki's birthday, and Izumi wanted to make sure everything was perfect. 

'Okay, everything's been set up, but we won't go into action until Kacchan has left to go to work. And then it will officially be D-Day once he gets off work! Uraraka said she was helping me out, which means I'll have to give her something in return for all the help, but I cannot fail!' Izumi thought. 

"What's with you?" 

"Eh?" 

"You're wide awake when you're not even going to the Station today." Katsuki noted. 

"I-I'm still not used to sleeping in, you know I wake up pretty easily." 

"I know, and I wake up easily now because I know when you're not in bed." he groaned. He sat up from the bed and rested his hand on her cheek and leaned in close to her. 

"Do you think... I should go to work today either?" he asked in a calm tone.

'Erm- hold it in just a little longer, then we can go full out later!' Izumi thought, holding her breath. 

"No, you need to go to work today, you know the Chief won't be happy if you don't show up without a good reason." Izumi said in a stern tone, pushing his face away. 

"But do you even know what today is?" he asked. 

'Crap, I don't want Kacchan to think I know it's his birthday, I just have to act clueless for right now.' she thought. 

"Today? What's today? Is it a holiday? I don't remember any important holidays in April." Izumi stated. 

Katsuki batted his eyes a few times from her response, he really thought she forgot it was his birthday. He got back to reality as she was getting up from the bed and turned to him. 

"C'mon, you need to get ready to get to work. I can at least walk you to work today since I'm still on standby." Izumi said. 

"Ah- fine." 

'I didn't think Deku would actually forget my birthday, but I'm not gonna bug her about it.' he thought, getting out of bed.

"I'll see you as soon as you get off, okay?" 

"Yeah. And... Deku?" 

"Yes~?" She noticed how he was blushing and rubbing the back of his neck. 

"Maybe after I get back later today... we could... do something?" he asked. 

"Do something? Like what?" she asked. 

"Umm... Do you want to... connect?" he asked, slowly meeting her eyes with his. 

'Crap! Don't tell me he knows?!?! No- of course not, he doesn't talk to Uraraka. I have to act like usual, and make sure he doesn't notice.' she thought. 

"Why would you ask me that now when I told you I'm still not ready yet?" she said, as she crossed her arms. 

"I-I just thought that-" 

"I'll let you know when I'm ready, just be patient, okay?" she said, petting his hair. He started pouting like a puppy once she said that. 

'Hehe- he's really cute to tease, but just wait until later, Kacchan.' she thought.

"Now go inside, and I'll see you later, okay?" she said as she hugged him. 

'Guess she really doesn't know what today is that she doesn't even wanna have sex with me. Damnit.' he thought, hugging the greenette.
