124: Golden-Eyed Beast

"Hah- how many more hospital visits do you need to have under your name?" 

"Emra? You're here..." Izumi muttered. 

"Of course I'm here, I wasn't going to ignore the fact that Takashi and Duncan were there with you trying to take down two more members of the League not knowing they were really Demons." Emra said, taking a seat next to the greenette's bed. 

"Oh... Takashi and Duncan must've told you that... right?" 

"No, I knew even before it happened that those two weren't spirits, especially Kyudai since he was a human back from my Era when I was a human." Emra sighed.

"Oh... right..." 

"And as much as I should be mad that you weren't resting, like I told you, you and Katsuki did manage to take both Kyudai and Kurogiri down even with Spiritual powers when they were Demons." Emra exhaled. 

"So what happened to them?" 

"Well, usually we would have a Grim Reaper extract the spirit soul from the human body and then have that human arrested, but in this case, things were different. Since both Kyudai and Kurogiri were basically using human vessels that were long past their living life, we just had to extract their Demon souls and I destroyed those two Demon souls myself." Emra said. 

"You... You can do that?" 

"I have Demon Dragon blood and am immortal, you really want to ask me if I could do that?"

"Right, sorry. So going back to Kurogiri and the doctor, that means... there was really no one to arrest?" 

"That's correct." 

"So... not even Shirakumo could've been saved?" 

"Unfortunately no, as it seems his body deteriorated the second the Demon soul of Kurogiri was extracted, the same effect happened to Kyudai when we extracted his soul. Though Shirakumo's human body was trapped by a Demon for almost 20 years, it was long enough for it to deteriorate in mere seconds. Even if we tried, there was no possible way for Shirakumo to have been saved at that time. The Demon of Kurogiri killed and possessed Shirakumo's body 18 years ago, and the second Takashi shot Kurogiri, it released the real raw power Kurogiri, who was a Demon, possessed. You're lucky Duncan can use light and dark powers so it helped defeat Kurogiri easier, because if not, you would've surely been in a lot more trouble." Emra said.

"I got it... but that power I saw from Duncan, that felt like nothing compared to mine. Duncan and Takashi are really strong." 

"That's because they're different from other spirits, as they both have Demon powers. Back in my Era, it was possible for humans to make contracts with Demons, but usually it was just for power and these people would use those Demon powers all for the wrong reasons. Takashi, Duncan, and even Saeko all have contracts with Demons. After the three of them had their human bodies rest in peace and I turned them into spirits, their Demon contracts and powers merged with their spirit bodies. Though the three of them are considered spirits, they all have the same powers of Demons and are very powerful, but it took those three a long way to get to where they are as spirits." Emra said.

"Oh, so what kind of powers does Duncan have, because it looks a lot more complicated than mine." 

"Not really all that complicated. Duncan is known as the Golden-Eyed Beast because he possesses the same powers and strength as the Greek mythological creature; the Minotaur. Not only that, but I'm sure the Golden Ax you saw him use was used by one of the strongest Zodiac constellations; Taurus. Though Taurus is known for using strong rays of light, the Minotaur was known for using Pure darkness and could hide in the shadows if he wanted to. It took Duncan a long time to master Pure darkness since he was so used to using light as his strength. Pure darkness wasn't something that could be controlled that easily back then, as it would usually lead to someone getting consumed by the darkness and there was a point Duncan could've been destroyed by that darkness, but he didn't." Emra said.
