152: Sucker to be Chained Up

The following morning arrived and Izumi woke up early this time just to make sure she wasn't rushing herself to get to work. After getting dressed and ready to leave, she looked in the mirror before putting on her shoes and sighed. 

'Don't make it awkward, it's the same Kacchan I've known, just a different life this time. Though he doesn't remember me, I remember him from our past life and will do everything to get us back to those great memories...' 

"Let's do this." She pumped herself up with some confidence, placed her shoes on and was out the door.

As she was walking down the stairs to head to the street leading the direction to the Police Station, she happened to look up and wasn't sure if she was imagining things. 

'That- That can't be...' 

She slowly walked closer to what she thought she saw and realized it was real. The sight of a spiky Ash Blond standing just outside the property of the apartment complex, hands in his pockets and breathing in the cool morning air. 

'It really is Kacchan, but why is he here?' she thought nervously, just seeing him from a distance made her chest beat faster.

"K-Kacchan..." 

She watched as the blond turned around to see her and all he could do was make a simple wave motion with his hand and make a subtle smile. 

"Hey... Deku..." he murmured. 

"Kacchan, what're you doing out here?" 

"Can't I wait for my partner and head to work together?" he suggested, she batted her eyes a few times. 

"You- You were waiting for me, how long?" 

"Not that long." 

The truth was Katsuki was waiting for the past hour because he didn't want to miss the greenette leave. 

"But you live uptown, it must've taken you a while to get here." 

"Nah- it was fine. We going?" he asked, pointing in the direction towards work. 

"Ah- y-yeah." she mumbled. She was not prepared to see him this early, but at least that meant more time with him–in a way.

It was nice and peaceful this very morning, as the weather wasn't too cold and not too warm either. The sun had already been rising, but the morning dew sparkled once the sun rose high enough for it to have that glistening effect. 

Not a lot of people were walking around this early, except it was only Junior and High school students on their way to school. 

'Hmph, me and Kacchan used to walk to school together when we were kids, how funny that we're practically doing the same thing now.' Izumi thought with a subtle giggled. 

As they were walking, Katsuki made sure to be walking right next to her and he noticed how close their hands were from touching. 

'Damnit, I just wanna hold her hand now~.' he thought in his head. He was desperate, but he knew he had to control himself from going too far since he kept the thought that she doesn't remember anything about their past life together.

Once they got to a certain area of the streets, it seemed there were more people walking around, as this was now the adults that were rushing to get to work. Izumi looked at the clock to realize that there was still plenty of time for them before they had to get to work. 

'We don't have to be at work early, just on time.' Izumi thought. 

"Hey Kacchan." 

"What?"
