The early morning arrived and Phoenix was doing his normal rounds of checking on his patients like usual. 

'Hah- what a long night, it's always New Year's where humans do stupid things, but it's not like spirits don't act the same around this time of the year. Let's see how Mister Bakugo's doing and check if he's woken up at-' 

Phoenix pulled the door open and was surprised to see not only the blond, but a certain greenette sleeping on the same bed with him. 

'The Special Case came back? When? Did she sneak in to see him, no one came in through the front doors late yesterday. Hm?'

As Phoenix looked closer at the situation, she realized Katsuki's arms were wrapped around the greenette. 

'His arms have moved, which most likely means he must've woken up at some point last night. Hah- that's a relief of it's own, I wasn't sure why he hadn't woken up yet since the poison was extracted at the scene. But it looks like I don't have to worry anymore.' he thought. 

"Sir." 

Phoenix turned around to see his assistant; Satoko, standing at the door. 

"You're needed for another patient, Sir." she said. "

Ah- right, I'm on my way." 

'I'm sure I can come back once they've woken up. These two seemed to really go above and beyond just to stay together, they really are a Special Case.'

After a couple more hours of sleep, Izumi woke up to the sound of a beeping alarm clock. She slowly opened her eyes and felt like she was lying on something sturdy, and when she looked around, that's when she remembered what happened. 

'Kacchan... That's right, he woke up last night when I came to see him, and he wanted me to stay and sleep with him. And we... 

We kissed...

...'

And soon her cheeks turned bright red and she clasped her hands onto her cheeks in embarrassment. 

'Holy Woah, me and Kacchan actually kissed, and I told him I love him and he told me he loves me too! And it wasn't just one kiss either! I thought all of this really was just a dream!' Izumi thought as she tried not to move around in the bed too much. 

She glanced up at the sleeping blond and felt at ease, just knowing that he actually woke up was all the relief she needed. 

'Thank goodness he woke up, I was worried he'd be unconscious longer even when the poison was extracted right away. I wonder why it took him so long to wake up?' she thought and slowly rested her hand on his cheek.
