76: Shed to Light

Izumi slowly felt her eyes waking up, along with her head pounding, and it felt like she was strapped down to something. 

'Hm? Where am I? What happened to me?' she thought and looked down to see she was strapped to a chair with ropes. 

'What? How did this happen?' 

She tried to recall everything before she was knocked out and remembered how she found Aoyama was poisoned and she could hear a voice in the area. 

'That's right, a voice was around and... it's not the first time I've heard that voice before...' she thought.

"It seems you woke up sooner than I thought." a deep but tired sounding voice echoed. 

"Where'd that voice come from?" Izumi said, looking around. 

But because the room she was sitting in was so dark, she couldn't see anything. The greenette kept looking around, but when she finally looked in front of herself, she froze. '

No- is that-' 

In front of the greenette sat an unconscious girl in her teens, and she had long flowing White hair. 

"Eri? But what is she doing here?" 

"I'm surprised you aren't worried about yourself first, then again, you made that face when you saved her all those years ago." the voice said.

"Who are you?" 

"Who am I? That's a silly question to ask, when you know all too well who I am." 

The sound of someone snapping their fingers echoed through the dark room and then candlelight appeared all around them. Izumi looked up and her eyes widened when she realized who exactly this was. 

"You... You're... Overhaul?!?" 

The man stood in front of the greenette, and thought his mask was covering his mouth. Izumi could tell he reacted with his eyes as he squinted them at her. The only thing different about his appearance now and from the past was that he was missing both his arms.

"But... that's not possible for you to be out of prison, they took your Spiritual Powers and Abilities right after everything was over!" Izumi yelled. 

"It's interesting how you know so much about me, but little of the situation you're in." he said. 

Izumi wasn't sure what he meant by that, but her thoughts of what was going on were gone as she turned her gaze to the teen girl sitting a few feet away from her. 

"E-Eri!" 

Eri soon opened her eyes to see Izumi strapped in a chair and sitting a few feet away from her. 

"D-Deku? What happened? Where are w-" 

Eri shifted her eyes and felt her body go numb at the sight of the man.

"Ah- it seems our little monster has awakened." he said. 

"N-No... no please... not again..." 

Eri's eyes were filled with tears and she was paralyzed in fear. Overhaul knelt down in front of the teen and looked deep into her tear filled eyes. 

"You've grown since the last time we saw each other, little monster. How have your abilities been since the last time? I'm sure you've hurt plenty of people without me, you're unclean." he said.
