17: The Phoenix

Izumi and Katsuki stood a few feet away from the members, and they both knew this was not going to be easy. 

"Kacchan, you think you can distract Mustard in the time I get Moonfish down?" Izumi said, looking down at the dog. 

'Tch- make me take the easy one, sure~' he thought and barked at her. 

"Hmph, just make sure he doesn't spray any gas around while I try and take Moonfish, my gas mask is too heavy to wear if I keep it on and take Moonfish." Izumi said and he barked again. 

"Good, now let's see how long this takes me before the Police get here." Izumi muttered and slowly started running up the stairs. 

"Such pretty flesh... I must take your flesh... I must kill..." Moonfish muttered and stumbled through the abandoned building and followed the greenette up the stairs.

Katsuki remained hiding from Moonfish just to make sure the psycho didn't see him and attack him. 

'Geez, how the hell am I supposed to distract this guy when I'm a dog and he uses toxic gas? This was not what I was imagining I would do when I wanted to be a part of the fucking Police.' Katsuki thought. 

"Tch- that stupid girl's gonna pay for all the work we went through to collect those worthless vessels. I should go and collect more while Moonfish takes care of that pest." Mustard said, heading to the door. 

'Crap, if he gets out, Deku's plan will be for nothing. Gonna have to shut all the doors and windows I can, and though he's got toxic gas, he can't have it spread outside the building.' Katsuki thought and pounced to try and shut all the windows and doors using his paws as fast as he could.

Mustard headed to the door, but noticed it was locked. 

"Hah? How the hell is thing stupid door locked, was it locked before?" Mustard said, trying to push the door several times. 

But he immediately stopped when he heard the sound of a dog barking. Mustard slowly turned around and saw the spiky Ash Blond fur of a fluffy dog barking, and glaring at him. 

"Heh- was it this useless thing? Don't tell me you work with that annoying girl?" Mustard taunted. 

'As much as I don't want him to spray that gas only in this building and harm Deku, I have no choice, he can't escape if I keep everything open. Deku better be quick on taking down that other guy.' Katsuki thought.

"You just gave yourself a death wish, dog." Mustard said and pulled out a long stick and pressed a button that activates shocks around the stick. 

'Is that a taser? Why the fuck does he have a taser?' Katsuki thought. 

"I don't usually have to use this thing since I don't fight animals, but you're an exception if you're with that pest. So let's see if you really are much of a smart pet." Mustard said. 

'Now he's gonna try and tase me? Geez, it's better than him spraying me with gas, but this just sounds stupid.' Katsuki thought.

Izumi ran upstairs in the abandoned building and hid behind a large pillar. She could hear the slow footsteps coming from and felt her heartbeat racing. 

'Geez, what do I do? I've never had to use my combat skills from training for an instance like this. Calm down, we can do this, we just have to stay focused and think of a plan to stop this maniac.' Izumi thought and took a deep breath.
